That has to be on the Mt. Rushmore of gaslighting.

It was an incredible effort.

Will our kids even believe that was a real news segment?
Hopefully, the corporate press will be so discredited by then that it isn't shocking.
I don't think they'll be able to comprehend that people were able to believe that rhetoric.

I saw a grown man wearing a Black Lives Matter shirt this morning. He was perfectly amiable, but how clueless must you be at this point to be wearing that?

I don't have a problem with the sentiment at all. As a criminal defense lawyer, I saw plenty of unfair treatment of minorities, and predominantly African Americans, both minor and major. They were my clients. My outrage is that this movement was coopted by outside forces and embraced by politicians who truly didn't give a damn about the real issue. Of course, the hypocrisy was at an all time ridiculous level.

This. All this virtue signalling annoyed me so much.
What annoyed me the most was people reading too much into words such that they wanted to change the default git branch from master to main and Github obviously supported that. There was a lot of individual discussion all over Github around this, here is just one example.

I feel the same way. I could just tell this guy was an old hippie with completely good intentions who would have no clue that BLM has been riddled with corruption and scandal, not to mention the widespread violence they supported and engaged in.

But is the level of discrimination and brutality the same as the 1970s and 80s ?
Plus we have DA who acts like a public defender. Being a public defender in New York must be a boring easy job now.

Remember when Lebron was pretending to read the Malcolm X autobiography?
Oh Lebron. Just admit you carried it around for photos.

I missed that, but I'm not surprised.
He recently said that he would have been a chess master if he had ever learned how to play.

They took some photos of him walking around purportedly reading the book, sitting in the locker room reading the book. Like he was so into it that he couldn't put it down. Then when a reporter asked what he liked about the book he said "all of it" and the reporter pressed him and then he said "I just started it" but he was walking around taking pictures with it for two days.

This is hilarious. I was unaware of this til now

He gets caught up with his media perception. Kobe was similar but he didn’t carry around books.

These politicians always come up with the terms like liberty and justice only when they have to persuade their aim of winning elections. While covid was at its peak, we had elections in India's largest state. These elections could easily be postponed if they cared for the lives of people. They didn't and eventually, the cases of corona rose. Even I lost one of my best friends who used to be a normal primary school teacher. As is a norm, teachers are stationed at election booths as election officers here, my friend was also one among them. While on duty, he caught covid and passed away in 7 days.
My hatred for politics and politicians is now so much that I decided not to vote in any elections from them. Even, I now despise any propoganda supported or run by these politicians. Only hatred for them...
reply
I'm sorry for you losing your friend but I have to ask. Was your friend treated for COVID? The protocols for treatment here in the United States killed many people. They were given remdesivir and put on ventilators without any physical therapy. This killed people.
In countries where the Malaria drugs hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin where in use people didn't die from COVID or even get it. Oddly enough the common influenza (flu) disappeared during this time. The other question is, of course, was your friend "vaccinated" with the mRNA treatments. If so then his immunity system was compromised.
I had COVID. I'm 54 and I just took holistic home remedies for my illness and I'm still alive and unjabbed. I also work outside all the time.
Your friend dying is sad but blaming his service or job for this is not good. Staying at home also harmed many people. At least your friend was able to get outside.
Ask yourself some questions about your friend's death:
  1. What was the diagnosis?
  2. How was he/she treated?
  3. Was your friend isolated and put into a stale hospital environment and given drugs that were harmful?
  4. Was your friend healthy in the first place?
The government is garbage and central planning is the worst!
I don't know if you believe in reincarnation or not, but your friend passed away and should be honored for the good friend he or she was. Say good things about your friend and honor his and your life!
Central planning is a delusional evil. Practice with the Dharma or Law of God and these central planning clowns lose their power.

The largest risk factor was excess weight
reply
Yes, my friend had this attribute.

Actually my friend didn't have so much good health and good immunity. He was a diabetic, ulcers, and many others. Initially he tried some natural - holistic home remedies and remained isolated at home. His condition didn't improve and When he got admitted to the hospital, his lungs were already damaged more than 60 %. He died within 2 days, he was admitted to the hospital. He was not given any medicine as you mentioned. He was also not vaccinated as there were no available vaccines for covid at that time.
Your friend dying is sad but blaming his service or job for this is not good.
I'm not blaming his service instead I'm blaming government for holding elections while covid cases were on the rise.

If you get a chance read Robert F. Kennedy's book on Bill Gates and Fauci it uncovers a lot of the nonsense going on with COVID and other diseases.
Here in the United States there are some who want to make Bird Flu an issue so that they can have lock downs and remote voting again.
They are setting it up with farmers to pay them to allow the culling of chickens and cattle. It's a scam of the highest proportion. The PCR testing scan is in play, too.

This is hilariously double standard politics at its best.

I knew the covid restrictions on large gatherings meant nothing after large gatherings for BLM
It’s also crazy that BLM has iOS emoji

They must have seen the worst of humanity. I'm sure you learned a lot from them.

True. Knowledge of history is important. But getting history lessons from older relatives can be one sided.
It’s annoying when Jews overplay the Hitter or Holocaust card. Especially when they are irrelevant for most issues.
I was being sarcastic because it is annoying when people use Hitler or Nazi or Holocaust to embellish their argument assuming it’s logical.
Remember uncle Leo from Seinfeld? Everyone is anti semitic. Call someone anti semite and you win the argument

Uncle Leo is a great example. I use him all the time

70 percent of American Jews voted for Biden in 2020.
Many supported covid insanity such as lockdowns. Blacklisting their acquaintances and neighbors who refused mRNA gene therapy
Many Jews especially women supported BLM. They live in areas with virtually no black residents. And undocumented immigrants for that matter.
They don’t see the irony. Or they do and don’t care

You know, i'm hearing some police offices around the country are facing some big problems several years later. I hope we don't see lawsuits get lost across all these cities - because in the end it will be reinforcement for these people to continue bad behavior.

Many police officers are taking early retirement or leaving the force

The article "BLM Versus Lockdowns: Four Years Later" highlights the stark double standards applied by authorities in enforcing COVID-19 lockdowns based on political ideology. It provides numerous examples of how protests against lockdowns were swiftly condemned and punished, while Black Lives Matter protests violating the same rules were celebrated and endorsed by the same officials[1].
The key points are:
  • Authorities like governors Whitmer, Pritzker, Cuomo, and Murphy enforced strict lockdowns but made exceptions for BLM protests, even joining and encouraging them while threatening harsh penalties for other gatherings[1].
  • Public health officials and organizations justified this double standard, claiming racism was a public health crisis that warranted supporting BLM protests despite violating their own guidelines[1].
  • This blatant hypocrisy and selective enforcement based on political ideology eroded public trust in lockdown policies and exposed them as being driven more by partisan motives than public health concerns[1][2][3].
The article argues this inconsistent application of rules revealed the underlying vacuity and loss of democratic accountability behind the entire COVID response, ultimately contributing to the unraveling of lockdown policies[1].
