Another good day, but not quite on par with yesterday. I'm sipping some coffee, after 16 hours dry fasting. I'm not really hungry yet, so I'll probably go a while longer before I eat.
Yesterday was the first day that I really noticed the different taste in my mouth that indicates ketosis. Interestingly, it lasted all day. I figured it would wane after I ate a bunch of pasta.
Another thing I've noticed is that I'm more interested in eating fresh produce than normal. A side benefit of dry fasting might be that juicier foods become more appealing.

Sorry I got distracted in the comments. By dry fast your not having anything at all including water?
If true why are you doing them? Compared to say a water fast?

Dry fasting gets the body into autophagy faster and encourages production of "endogenous water". Both of those help with cleaning up inter/intracellular debris, which is one of the primary causes of aging.
It's basically a turbo boosted fast and it's honestly not any harder to do.

As a heads up, when I first started, I hit a point of feeling pretty thirsty after a few hours, but then I stopped getting more thirsty and got used to that being my default state.
If you're accustomed to wet fasting, you may have noticed something similar with hunger.

Yeah I do 16:8 fasting pretty much every day for the last year or so sometimes a 18;6 but always with liquid

I've been dry fasting for many years now, going over 100 hrs dry more times than I can count now. It helps get the body "fat adapted" to go on a "fasting mimicking diet" for a few days on either side of going dry. Myself, I'm going thru that process at the moment, on day 3 of nothing but liquid fats for fuel, i.e. bulletproof coffee in the mornings, bone broth in the afternoons, and a non-caffeinated Dandy-Blend hot drink with some coconut oil added in the evenings.
Tonight at midnight, after properly hydrating and mineralizing with plenty of water, baking soda, and some fresh squeezed lemon juice, I'll stop all fluid intake at midnight. Consuming nothing but air over the next few days at least, it gets easier when I wake up the 2nd day, about 32 hrs dry, as I generally feel great and have no desire to consume anything at all. After 3-5 days, depending on my activity level and local temps, I'll start back on the liquid fats diet for a few more days.
Going "dry" lowers all inflamation throughout the body, resets and boosts the immune system, and eliminates many of the fats that may have been storing toxins. Breaking down bodyfat for water provides the highest quality "living water" we can find anywhere and regularly using the ketone energy pathway helps make me "metabolically flexible". My relationship with food/hunger and water/thirst have changed drastically, as my Will now rules over my Body, rather than the other way around as for most of the human population. The impacts on my personal discipline, immune system, and overall health have made this a lifetime practice that needs no outside sources to validate the benefits of to my health.
This does tend to have an impact socially, though, as so much of socializing revolves around food and drink and we tend to not notice until we stop altogether.
Good luck. Fear not, trust your ability to listen to your body, we are not nearly as fragile as we're made out to be. Unless you're under 10% bodyfat, there's little risk of dying after 3 days with no water as we're taught. Muscle cramps and potentially kidney stones are the main risks and proper preparation and discipline manage those easily.

That's a great explanation. I've been doing the intermittent dry fasting for a couple of years, too. I use February to focus more on it, though, so I can go on autopilot the rest of the year.

I don't like being hungry either. That's actually one of the reasons to do intermittent fasting: your body stops being so whiney about food and starts living off the land more readily.
I wasn't exaggerating that I really have not gotten hungry, yet. I'm going to go eat as soon as I do. Two days ago, I did get snacky in the evening, which you and I know is similar to, but not the same as, being hungry.

I'm definitely lacking will power in that area. I can deal with extreme temporary discomfort like lifting to muscle failure, but that long obnoxious discomfort like cardio, or being hungry.... fucking hate it.

I hate cardio too.
I will freely acknowledge that there is a very low, but persistent, level of discomfort in fasting.
When people first try it, the discomfort is much more intense.

Yeah I did sign up for premium. Bit unusual for me to sign up to an app but wanted to support as it will make me go after all the challenges and sats available

My plan is to see if I can earn enough with the challenges to maintain the subscription, which is why I might wait to start premium until there's a juicier challenge.
I didn't even know there was a free premium trial. I will wait until the weather is better so I can maximize that,
