Intermittent fasting. Counting calories worked well but I.F. is less of a hassle. I just skip breakfast. 16h fast, 8h feeding period. No need to be a Nazi over it either. If I go to breakfast resto or brunch I'll eat. It's about the trend, not exception. After getting used to it, it seems to have improved my focus and energy. Important that when you do eat it's not junk though.
Limiting self to 2 coffees per day, sometimes 3. No calories in coffee due to intermittent fasting (no milk, no sugar or 0cal sugar/maple syrup). Got rid of a lot of restlessness and anxiety, and opting for decaf after that helps hydration while maintaining the illusion of still drinking coffee to work afternoon.

This is very handy. My wife has been recovering from major surgery and had a couple setbacks along the way and she gets frustrated that 10 weeks later she just can't do all the things she used to do in a day and feel ok the next day. She is getting better but I think this might help her understand that currently she is healing slower than expected and she needs to pace herself.

I am glad I could help!!! For me I was 21 and so the idea of "slowing down" or "taking it easy" were words I didn't know what they meant. Spoon Theory also helps me relate how I am doing to others since it is something that they can see themselves. Explaining it without something for people to visualize is impossible in my book

3-3-3 rule. It’s designed to control anxiety and is effective for that but I have found it is also helpful to just change mindset. I use it a lot if I get frustrated doing a project or if I am losing my patience with my kids.
It essentially requires you to identify three things you can see, three things you can hear, and three ways you can move your body.
Once you distract yourself with this technique, you can do some deep breathing and refocus.

For me it is daily workout no matter what. It prevents me from becoming a sloth when I get home, I get motivated in the gym when I see others working out, and I feel more vibrant after a long day in the office. Definitely the biggest thing that helps me in my life for right now!

Cultivating the discipline to write down absolutely everything in the google calendar. It's supper messy, but I was able to drastically bring order to my entire life around that practice because I make sure I lose nothing, either personal notes, memos, tasks, events, etc

Exercising is part of my daily routine and first thing in the morning. Not only helps to keep me fit but also to think clearer.

More than timed work sessions, I like to do several things at once. I don't like wasting my time. And it's a habit that I've adapted perfectly to my mental capacity. So much so that sometimes I see someone who does things one at a time. And I don't like it!! I encourage them to make better use of their time!! And within all my activities, reading is definitely essential for me!!

I have a log where I track my activities for the day. It helps me keep track of where my time goes and cut down on wasting time. It is just a basic append text file where the entries look like this:
HH:MM:SS - Activity here

By keeping silent while others are talking, I learn more and avoid jumping to foolish conclusions.
