It is hard to believe that Biden’s circle didn’t know this was going to happen. It’s not particularly easy to believe in a scenario in which he was intentionally thrown in a wood-chipper as a trigger for this seemingly coordinated assassination last night and this morning. The scenario that makes the most sense to me at the moment is that Biden’s inner team thought they could pull this off — he’s survived so many previous tests, like the State of the Union — but a waiting gang of party vultures, led perhaps by figures from Chicago, decided to pounce mid-debate and put calls into media mouthpieces before the end of the event. This looked, in other words, like a genuine coup, with party figures agreeing in Shakespearean fashion to take frail Caesar out before his convention coronation.1
What a shit show. I just hope it's not Gavin Newsom.

First stage (of three) for the new wallet code is done. It took one month to the day. This is expected to be by far the hardest stage and built on a ton of the work @ek did over the last six months. Fingers crossed for good deployment weather this weekend.
I think I'm going to work on our new referrals plans next. We could use some fresh faces around here.

Hey guys! I have some questions...
  1. Here, at SN are just English topics?
  2. How I can create a poll (it is possible?)?
I would like to create this poll, because I'm curious about how many Hungarian and / or Romanian peoples are here at SN :)
Thanks for your replies!
reply
Here, at SN are just English topics?
It's mainly English, but there are interactions in other languages too. Recently I raised a discussion just about it at #580765.
How I can create a poll (it is possible?)?
As for polls, they are possible but usually have multiple choices, so I'm not sure it would be the best method for enquiring what you want. A simple discussion would be best. 1

Weekly random report: 7.0 magnitude earthquake in the province of Arequipa, Peru. Some media claim that there is a tsunami warning. To be honest, one of my biggest fears are earthquakes, it makes me anxious just thinking about it, even more so knowing that Peru is located in the Pacific ring of fire and the structures of its houses and buildings are not prepared for it.

So overnight Japan fired its main currency diplomat. This could be a crazy day. I guess Japan is waiting until the bullshit US PCE inflation numbers are released before intervening. That means they'll sell US bonds if inflation numbers are low. That won't solve anything. It will drop again in a month or so. Are there stackers in Japan? I would like to know what people are thinking.
reply
The Japanese are going to bed now 🤠

I guess these interventions usually happen in the middle of the night. I think the PCE gets released in about an hour.

I think of the people posting every day until something happens, and it makes me wonder about whether this is potentially a bad thing. One of the reasons I lose a hat here is because some days I'm preoccupied or focused on the actual goings on of my life. Of course stacker.news is also going on in my life
