Tall buildings and shopping malls are really dehumanizing; not only do they make you feel so tiny, like an ant, but they are also purposely designed to keep you stuck there for ages till you find out how to get the hell out.
The little fun thing is I used to like them...now these are the last place I want to go to.

In need of tips from former compulsive buyers: I'm generally a minimalist on everything but tech related things. How should I fight the urge to get another hardware wallet (Krux and/or Coldcard Q), when I already have enough hardware wallets to provide me, my non-existent heirs, and a small community of people? 😅
reply
I gave away all the HW I had. Totally useless for me. More HW for you = more sats for me :)
reply
I get it... For Bitcoin it's not really a must.
But I always find a reason to try a new one. Like, generating ssh/gpg keys with my Jade, doing air gaped nostr stuff with SeedSigner, and so on and so forth.
It's more to experience the tech than to secure the sats.
reply
ah ok, make sense 👍
reply
I don't understand the urge at all, isn't it more fun to make your own? 🤔
reply
Oh, it is fun building our own! But that's part of the problem.
SeedSigner 1, which I got, is DIY, Krux 2, which I want, is DIY too. Building them is part of the fun, but it means spending money on tech I don't need nonetheless.
It was the same with Jade 3. I got two Jades, a DIY and a retail. It's almost a compulsion. (send help 🙃)

maybe get a new hobby outside of tech things 👀
reply
Well, tech is my only hobby nowadays. I should give music another chance. The problem is that guitars and music in general can become a pretty expensive hobby too. 😂
reply
I'm the opposite, after Bitcoin then go back to focus on non-tech stuff, the goal is to have less and less dependence on others, so I'm digging cooking and sewing, going back to do what people used to do themselves 👀 and it's really satisfying, being able to create.
Agree with the music thing! the instrument can be quite expensive and really inconvenient to carry around; I learned Bağlama last year and ended up gifting it to a friend.

I am developing an activity that you know in which every day, I must rescue a quote from a book that I am reading, an activity that will keep me busy I suppose and I pretend that for the rest of my life, now the purpose of this activity you know is to assimilate better the information that is read and at the same time try to develop some idea 💡 regarding the quote in question. On this occasion I decided to share this here, so that if anyone finds it useful or interested in it, they can apply it to their readings. #quote "security evolves over time under persistent threat." This is a little funny but it immediately makes me think of Bitcoin, and he mentioned that it's funny because obviously it's a book related to cryptocurrency and obviously bitcoin is present, but I say that in relation to the fact that once you start to understand Bitcoin, inflation, how FIAT works, and other related aspects, you realize that this is part of the constant threat that Nakamoto perceived when he created bitcoin, that constant threat to us common citizens exposed to the theft of our energy worked and stolen with the fiduciary model. That is when security evolves, in this case with the emergence of Bitcoin, the security that ordinary people can achieve when trying to secure and protect some wealth, whether for our own enjoyment in the near future or for our retirement in a future. more distant future, even for a really distant future after dying and leaving the treasure map 🪙🍊⚡ to our children. Thanks to those who were able to perceive the constant threat, our security of guarding wealth evolved, and now thanks to those who see and understand the truth about this matter of constant threat and how we can protect ourselves 🍊⚡ is that people 👥 like me and Hundreds of thousands more of us are waking up, understanding the world better every day and embracing Bitcoin as our only savior 🫂 Thanks for reading this🤝 Stay Awake 💪🤠⚡ Stay in the Pagüer.

love buying my food from small family farms, you can even see the whole making process, even where each ingredient comes from - it's literally out there on the farm, while you can barely see who's even behind those sitting in the supermarket shells, no wonder they need to show so many certificates to say "trust me."

I am so happy about my lesson today. I got my students to write about their favourite food stall at the cafeteria and explain their rationale. Subsequently, I released them five mins earlier so that they could pass their thank-you note to the stall holder.

Returning Summons

If you prefer not to attend the courthouse, you can make the decision to return the summons unopened. However, it should be noted that the court may unlawfully rule in your absence.
When returning unopened mail, usually a stamp is applied saying return to sender, however instead of “return to sender” you can use “Refused as addressed” because it is addressed incorrectly.
Note: “refused” could be seen as controversy so use “declined as addressed”, however a “decline” could be seen as “acceptance” of the addressed, when you have in fact “declined”.
If you choose to return the court summons, you may wish to complete and file an affidavit of third party mailings.
reply
I used the affidavit, returning the summons papers. You should always pay attention to the wording they are using in that paper. Most of the time they say "you are invited to act". So WTF is that? Is an invitation (so you can nicely reject it) but "to act" ? Like in a theater, each participant will have a playing "role".
If that paper is not even signed, is just an automated printed paper, you can consider it even a fraud.

You could still write without the Internet. Don't worry, you would be fine. You could be like a bard, traveling places and writing about it, even without the internet.

how ppl used to discover books then, like you go to a bookstore and see what happens? 😂
maybe the writers used to focus on writing and think oh the lucky ones would get to read my book!

Believe it or not, that used to be something I loved to do when I was a teenager. I don't read enough nowadays... (well, I read all day long for work, but now so much for fun and personal growth)
maybe the writers used to focus on writing and think oh the lucky ones would get to read my book!
Some would write only for themselves, like Marcus Aurelius writing his private journal, never imagining it would be compiled into a book called Meditations.

I will be happier. More time for many other things. Bitcoin is not ultimate plan, even that could have an important role in freedom acceleration.
Less internet = more freedom
