Posting on particular Day of Week

Posting at Time of Day (Eastern time)

This is taking data from posts over 5k with over sats total (that were not "Satsraisers"). Goes to show posting early for the European market & when people wake-up State-side pays off. Waiting a few more hours leads to more discussion/comments. Time shown is in U.S. Eastern time. Wednesdays, Thursdays (and surprisingly Sundays) have been popular too.
cc. @Natalia if posting just once a week, something to bear in mind ๐Ÿ˜€
๐Ÿค  One more follow-up....
People who are NOT currently cowboys/cowgirls have bigger peaks & troughs. (Current) cowboys continue to stack consistently throughout the week...
Whereas the opposite is true for comments from cowboys. Way more discussion on their posts, perhaps suggesting we could do more to get "dippers' to engage after posting something of value on SN. They seem extremely active on Sundays, which is a nice opportunity for us to skew the rewards that day perhaps.
(Note: data still from posts with over 5k sats).

Be both curious and generous with your time. Proof of work will see to it that you are rewarded.

interesting, but there are quiet some undergrounds ๐Ÿค“ did you count them in?

what dat mean ๐Ÿค” the easiest and best way is do a shoutout in saloon once post something:)

My bad, with poor English. Dipping into something, I use it like itโ€™s temporary. In and out quickly.
When non-cowboys post something (at least this is my interpretation) thereโ€™s naturally a little less discussion from everyone. I suspect a big portion of comments from cowboy posts, are from cowboys themselves.
The chart is telling me that others have less time/willingness to be able to do it during the week, which makes sense.

hmmmm, especially when @nemo in town, more fun - dancing in everyone's post, taking all the street!

Just a gentle nudge for you to keep this interesting conversation going. Pretend like I'm not even here.

@nemo must be enjoying the reef right now. The only way I can keep this going is by posting more charts...

Sats per post - current cowboys vs not

reply
when would you post this fun piece?
also, here are some tiny things that could be improved in the charts
  • format of dates - I guess you mean Mons, Tues, Weds, etc, get rid of 1-7 then.
  • the colors - yellow and orange is hard to tell apart, same for pinkish and dark red.
  • it would be even nicer to include the numbers like how many cowboys and noncowboys in this data collection, how many posts in total etc.

Hope to get it out Tuesday/Wednesday.
Thanks for the feedback, the numbers on the x axis were to make sure they were ordered correctly left to right.

I want to read yours ( data based ) before posting my next article - would be fun adding your data into my next fun - something about SN but based on my experience.
I also like posting either in Wed or Thur, works great for my schedule too, and nothing need to stressed about when it's in the middle of the week!
this "Sats Per Post - Posted at Time of Day" is quite interesting.
reply
Definitely is. Something I had witnessed/felt when posting ~6am Eastern but hadn't proven until now. Now I wonder how many sats I have left on the table posting later in the day, once I finally finish editing (versus waiting the extra day).

for me, I noticed the best is 6-10am Eastern time.

yea, you always post in my late nights ๐Ÿ˜†
also one more bonus of posting "early" is that you could easily rank into the top post with more zap ranks.
this is the real SSL here @ekzyis
reply
I had noticed the same with early posts.
I wonder if it's driven by the reward schedule: early posts have more time to climb the ranks and earn more rewards.
Maybe an upcoming rewards experiment can vary the timing of the rewards calculation. cc: @k00b and @ekzyis

Great point. Kind of bizarre how the comments by time of day are the complete opposite to zaps.
People mindlessly zapping with their feet in the mornings, versus commenting whilst munching down a sandwich nearer lunchtime.
