Great point. Kind of bizarre how the comments by time of day are the complete opposite to zaps. 

People mindlessly zapping with their feet in the mornings, versus commenting whilst munching down a sandwich nearer lunchtime.

I had noticed the same with early posts. 

I wonder if it's driven by the reward schedule: early posts have more time to climb the ranks and earn more rewards.

Maybe an upcoming rewards experiment can vary the timing of the rewards calculation.

for me, I noticed the best is 6-10am Eastern time.
