How are you all doing on your goals? I had running goals for total mileage, daily outdoor streak, to win a race, weight lifting, clean eating, cold exposure

Still working the abs!

If I can’t get abs this year then it’ll take another decade!

As you get older the abs start with your diet. Take it from a guy with a six pack in his mid 40’s who doesn’t do sit ups…

reply

Pics or it didn’t happen

reply

lol. Not posting my abs here. No one in there mid 40’s runs a sub 5 minute mile and sub 17 minute 5k without abs. Proof of work. I’ve posted countless workouts and races proving that without doxing myself.

reply

It would did you for sure.

@Undisciplined would see that six pack and be like, yup, those abs are @BitcoinIsTheFuture XD

I'd like to stop being fat mostly

Edit: I thought this was about next year, but my goal last year was the same. Didn't work out.

reply

Did you set up milestones that were realistic that you believed in?

I didn't do milestones. I get anxious and kind of lose myself when I try to control the future.

The main process-oriented things I did was get back to yoga, get more sun, and resumed trying to get as much sleep as I wanted.

More recently I've resumed paying attention to diet (trying to make sure I get enough omega-3 and getting into ketosis periodically).

Nice work. Maybe Give it a shot, can’t improve if you don’t measure? That’s how you improve on the site here right?

reply

I was doing well but hit a snag about July and lost control of my diet.

Jan 1st starting over.

reply

Go get it, let us help hold you accountable! Proof of work!

reply

lol I’m taking dogs advice and eating all that I can before I get started

reply

You’ll show good progress then once you get to it! Positive visualization all the way!

reply

Yeah just the diet food and sugar are my Achilles heel

reply

Have you tried the meat, egg, Greek yogurt, potato approach. I stay super full and don’t miss my highly processed cards. I also feel WAY LESS bloated and inflamed

I haven’t yet I’m a cuck to carbs but starting Jan 1st I want to change that

reply

Ha as a distance runner I’ve eaten a disgusting amount of over processed carbs. “Energy” bars, bread, bagels, pasta’s in mass…

How did you do on those goals?

reply

Crushed them! I’m mid 40’s:

  • Won 2 road races and was masters champ in the 3rd
  • sub 17 min 5k
  • over 2200 miles run, 2025 was the goal
-ran a 5k outside every day at a minimum
  • push up and planks daily, pull ups most days
  • 80%+ clean single ingredient diet
  • decent cold bath immersion, could have done more
  • sold solid meditation and box breathing

How about you?

reply

That's awesome!

I really didn't set any particular goals for the year. I was doing pretty well until about Halloween with maintaining high activity levels, fasting, cold showers, and stretching.

I think I'll do some more regular tracking and updating next year.

Give it a shot, can’t improve if you don’t measure.

reply

I mean, I could, but it would be harder to know.

reply

Hopefully that works for you. We don’t get what we wish or dream for. We get what we proof of work for
