Dry fast or water ?
Water + coffee (I do add butter + MCT/collagen powder to my coffee, and salt to my water - not sure if that disqualifies it as a real fast or not, haha)
My fasts tend to happen spontaneously nowadays, I don't really plan anything :)
Add the oil and stuff to the coffee would break a fast but still gave yourself a great reset gut break !

There's a homeless guy that hangs out across from my office window most afternoons/evenings. He seems like a sweet and quiet yet troubled and non-verbal guy. He'll often wait outside P. Terry's waving at people hoping they'll give him some leftovers or a $3 burger.

In a random, unexpected toast, right? If so, you can ignore it, we think it's a background query that is not important if it fails since it will get run again but for some reason it throws errors all the way to the user. We just haven't found which query it is yet 😅

Hey everyone, new to SN, but so far having a lot of fun.
I was wondering if there were any good guides or intros on how Cowboy Credits (CCs) work and how to know when you are paying with CCs and when with Sats.
I looked through the guides but didn't find a satisfying answer to this question.

TLDR
CCs are like testnet sats, or like WoW "gold coins", used only INSIDE the game (SN).
I myself didn't attached any external wallet to my SN account (even that I tested many of them). Why? See my older posts (example #796213 and #733426) explaining why this move will create more problems than fixing them.
Using CCs inside SN is perfectly fine, but some of stackers are focused only on how to assmilk SN instead of providing value here. For me SN is a "pay to post" not "post to earn".

Only when you zap, you pay other stackers so it will prioritize sats.
Everything else (posts, replies, boosts, votes (in polls), donations, territories, jobs, downzaps) will prioritize CCs.
Every zap pays 30% into rewards but it's not split. If you pay with sats, it's in sats. If you pay with CCs, it's in CCs. But maybe we'll implement paying the 30% fee in CCs, too. This is the first time someone brought this up actually!

From what I'm understanding, the economy of SN is that CCs are not redeemable in any way. You can only buy them, not sell them.
But the way in which CCs are destroyed, and thus enabling an escape valve, is by sending those CCs back to SN through the other interactions where Sats/CCs flow to SN. It would thus make sense that CCs get prioritized for that 30% split.
I understand your point. Zaps should be quick and simple, less is more.
Thus, I provided the idea that, in case you guys choose to keep the Zaps UX/UI simple, an easy way to provide feedback to the user on "What did I just send, Sats or CCs?" would be to color the Lightning Strike that crosses your screen in a different color, depending on what was sent.
This way, the user gets a visual feedback on "You sent Sats" or "you sent CCs".

Personally, watching her lesson made me feel like I do too much telling in my lessons. I will ask students "What's the key word here". Xin Yi naturally elicits students to say the key words and affirms them with "You're catching all the key words here". She's good at Show not Tell.

Yeah, I read your thoughts on this the other day and there's definitely some merit to that view. But overall, I find zapping to be a direct way of supporting what you want to see more of. Whereas likes are just straight up pointless. Perhaps the only thing they help is the algorithm.
