I was driving on the highway a few weeks ago and a rock was thrown into my windshield, leaving a large chip. I called Safelite, gave them my car insurance, and it didn't cost me anything out of pocket.
It might be different if the windshield needs replacing.
First double check with your insurance - if it's a small crack then they often will pay to get it fixed rather then replace the whole window.
If it's a small chip/crack (about the size of a quarter) and insurance doesn't cover it; then pay to get it done yourself. It's <$30 if I'm remembering right and the results are pretty good. This prevents a full split in the glass as the weather turns cooler...if you live where it hurts to breath in the winter get this done in the next month or two as IT will shatter if you don't.
If it's a big crack (baseball size) or spiderwebs across the windshield it probably needs to be replaced.
It's gotten pretty big. Quote was ~500. My deductible is ~500 so I figured I'd go through insurance. Kills me that I'm sure the insurance company is getting it much cheaper and making money on this deal.
Are there any deterministic password managers out there? or is that just not possible? For example i would like to store 12 words somewhere, and then in a password manager if i type in those 12 words i would get a list of all my passwords
Edit: there might be good reason to not do this however. Your "keys" which would grant access to all your accounts would be hot in your phone/browser extension.
The browser is based on Firefox, and I was able to install the uBlock extension as I do with all new browsers. the Dashboard displays all the communication tools.
You can easily use a Voltage API key to connect your node, or there are options to connect to your lightning node manually.
There will probably be as much demand for security going forward as a store of value. I mean, physical security. Some sort of guarantees that you will not be raided by thugs, if you start up something productive in return for bitcoins. Caus im not sure the traditional police and military will be around in the future. But lets see.
I'd like to write more about this sometime but I think a lot of current society is just the evolved version of what you are talking about, and history has glossed over those elements. Just think about the word "company". Groups of people together advancing goals and defending their interests seems to be the human default. The tightest-knit communities are those who have most recently been oppressed. Orthodox Jews in NYC have their own security, EMS, etc.
The state creates "communities" also through unions etc. And to be honest they are way way way better at it than freedom-loving individualists. We need to come out of our shells a bit IMO. And in doing so we cannot appear like an angry militia or we will be crushed. We value freedom and human rights, if the state is against that, let it be obvious.
GM, y'all. Made my first p2p bitcoin trade yesterday. Used Robosats. Even though I watched a tutorial on how to go about this, I still found it an ordeal. There was only two people online and available to sell. It's cool though. I got the process down, and know what to do in the future.
Yeah I was wondering about this. The P2P markets like Bisq, Robosats, and Peach are very much underground and only known to experienced Bitcoiners. I can't imagine many of them would want to be panic selling at these prices.
Today I'm working on UselessShit.co development (again) while learning React 🙂 I've got some SEO on my plate (with the help from react-helmet). Later on I'll be adding bookmark-sized option to the card generator.
