The term doesn't matter, what really matters is knowing what you want and be smart about where to get them, and don't being limited or scared by the imaginary borders.
I saw a photo there that I liked more than the others ๐ I'll only be able to read more later tonight! I'll say it later, but this is a great post! ๐
I was confusing this silhouette with the giant statue in Lisbon. I thought it might be a photo from the opposite Tagus River bank, closer to the statue.
Spending a strong currency in a country with a comparatively weaker currency is a hack nowadays? Really?
My parents regularly go to Thailand and are always amazed at how "cheap" stuff is over there, questioning why it can't be like that over here, too; but that's because they have a weaker currency, and the population is poor(er) in general.
I don't know, I feel like it's wrong though. You're essentially profiting off of someone else's shittier situation.
You're trying to make a point by going all-in on the "we're helping them" argument, but fact is: people don't think nor care about whether or not we're "helping" them with our consumerism, or not. That's it. People go there because it's pretty and cheap, not because they wanna do good.
I grew up in a shittier place than western standard, and if it wasn't for westerners coming here because is pretty and cheaper, my standard of living would be much worse. I get your msg, but it's not that simple.
Not to be cynical but this is all possible thanks to nation states and borders.
One day you hate on them then you post something like this that indirectly praises them by acknowledging the differences that directly benefit your life.
While nation states do evil things like war. This is highlighting the positive side of humanity being different and protecting those differences with imaginary borders.
If I will take you and put you on a island, I am sure you do not know what to do alone, by your own, you will invent a government or a state just to tell you what to do or to "protect" you....
Unbelievable how nowadays people cannot think outside the state... they cage themselves.
Great writing. This and your last post are pure gold bitcoin.
I must admit at first I wasn't convinced with your writing skills (been lurking in the BTC space for quite some time) but it's really great now, and I consider myself hard to impress. I do a lot of geoarbitrage too -- the funniest part is now my fiat-minded, nationalistic friends always say how I shouldn't be moving around places -- just to quickly start criticizing how stuff doesn't work in their own country.
One question, where do you find good, affordable people willing to work for sats? I've tried here and a few other places; it didn't went terrible but it wasn't great. I heard good stuff about Twitter but I just can't hang in that platform for longer than 5 minutes.
the funniest part is now my fiat-minded, nationalistic friends always say how I shouldn't be moving around places
reminded me of cool slang in Turkish : kedi uzanamadฤฑฤฤฑ ciฤere murdar dermiล, meaning when the cat can't reach the meat thus says it's bad. ๐
where do you find good, affordable people willing to work for sats?
I normally find the good ones first and then pill them, e.g., Upwork, instead of hiring from Bitcoiners, because the pool is too small; I don't use Twitter too. Also, it depends on what kind of ppl are you trying to hire?
I think this is a possible next step for me, maybe somewhere in South America, maybe Europe. I've been thinking about it for a while, but not seriously planning for it just yet. There are a few roadblocks at the moment, but the time will come. Thanks for the share!
The small tests is key! Thanks for that. I have individuals that depend on me so that's the biggest challenge, but not unsurmountable. Just have to get creative!
yes, but I guess it depends on what you want, for me it's quite boring living in southeast asia if for long time, I do love the food tho, especially Penang. ๐
Yeah lots of challenges here that might make boring for living. But if someone really like to experience rich vibrant cultures, beautiful scenery, and delicious cuisine then it's best here. Not only in Penang, food is awesome everywhere in south :)
my arbitrage:
https://vimusicapk.com/ instead of spotify
https://newpipe.net/ and/or adblocker for youtube
netflix is shit ๐
Orthodontic tourism is very popular in the Balkan.
Vimusic has been abandoned. Use RiMusic instead
thank you good ser

For sure! But also nice to get updates with new features. Both apps are great.

Fun fact: people here usually prefer cash ๐๐๐
I even showed my dentist how he can accept BTC. ๐
Hahaha, same
My dentist told me he was mining etherium
did you put he back to the right path? ๐
I gave my best
Could you link me to where Darthcoin showed "the way" ๐
Try looking up the term "jurisdictional arbitrage".
Define the term "jurisdiction".
But without consent.
The term doesn't matter, what really matters is knowing what you want and be smart about where to get them, and don't being limited or scared by the imaginary borders.
meaning of the words is very important.
Did you know that this fucked up world is using two types of words?
When you are judged, you are not judged using the regular dictionary, but the black's law dictionary.
REMEMBER THAT !
indeed.
that's why I like to use simple words. ๐
The lack of consent is sort of the point.
Arbitraging is an attempt to be subject to less coercion.
https://thelawdictionary.org/jurisdiction/
https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/jurisdiction
aren't they the same meaning ๐
No are not.
Jurisdiction means you put yourself under somebody else authority.
Geoarbitrage, you avoid all that above.
Geoarbitrage it's so much better and fun too; Jurisdiction sounds need to deal with many paper work and unpleasant ppl. ๐
That's what the arbitrage is for. You avoid dealing with taxes and other nonsense, by doing things in the places with the fewest restrictions.
that too, all I want is a peaceful and happy life, other fun along the way are bonus:)
More or less. I just thought if you weren't finding what you were looking for, you might find more with the other term.
Watch out guys... Natalia started to drop some fire memes on SN !
With her creativity... will be really hard to counter-meme.
a self-sufficient meme maker is the way ๐

Darth in here being consistently nice to feminine beauty, perpetuating gender stereotypes
I really like that !
supply and demand! ๐
get stuff you need in where is supply > demand
sell your stuff / time / skills in where supply < demand

That's Austrian Economics right there - the study of "human" choices under scarcity. :-)

PT?
I'm getting pretty predictable ๐
Is the photo in the top left corner also from pt?

yes, Lisbon!
To be clear, my question was about this

from indonesia.
I was confusing this silhouette with the giant statue in Lisbon. I thought it might be a photo from the opposite Tagus River bank, closer to the statue.

that is an Imperial AT-ST...
hahaha, you could had just ask me ๐

I don't know, I feel like it's wrong though. You're essentially profiting off of someone else's shittier situation.
Or bringing them more money in their shittier situation and thus helping them. And not only money..
That's one way to try and justify it.
to pay more for a shittier product/service is just retarded
I simply see it as a form of exploitation of someone else's situation, must be a morals-thing.
So it's better to not help them at all?
But who is the "exploiter" here, did you devalue their currency?
You're trying to make a point by going all-in on the "we're helping them" argument, but fact is: people don't think nor care about whether or not we're "helping" them with our consumerism, or not. That's it. People go there because it's pretty and cheap, not because they wanna do good.

And no, I didn't devalue their currency, neither do I profit off of it.

You are not eliminating fiat from this fucked up world if you continue to use it.
STOP using fiat and you will see another world.
FIAT DELENDA EST
It's what the post's about, and thus, what I'm addressing.
The above holds true while spending bitcoin as well, for 0.1 BTC will buy me a shit-load more in Thailand than in my country.
Natalia's wedding

this is real - weddings here love to make noise, even with cars' honking.

False I know my limitations. Besides being a nomad doesnโt advance society. The more people that understand we all need each other the better.
What the state tries to do is stop psychopaths from destroying everything and everyone
Bingo

no, it's actually the lack of culture shock that makes things boring, I'm from Asia too.
maybe don't be so sure saying something is the best until you've really been to ALL places, as there are quite some well-kept secrets out there. ๐
This is great creative thinking and an awesome lifestyle youโve built! Thanks for sharing. I see more of this in the future.
thanks, and I would keep sharing my new found fun too:)
Masterful FOMO post. The sats chart is ๐ฅ. Hope to see a lot more price comparisons done this way.
haha, I wasn't so sure if I should use 100 sats to 1000 sats as the unit to do the convert.
Hi @Natalia I'm trying to sign up on your website but I'm going round in an endless loop. How can I contact you? thanks :)
you could DM me here.
You can DM on SN? how do you do that?
yes, there you go: #392551
thank you, I just did it. Let me know if it worked :)
Your articles are kinda 'fall in love at first sight'. You are definitely leading a revolution when it comes to tourism. Great!
You can't spell "geoarbitrage" without "garbage".
I don't think this is relevant.
