the product is confusing and too hard to use
also whatever churn we have is not replenished because we have no active growth initiatives
while i dont mind letting folks indulge in the bearishness, these graphs also makes things look worse than it is. what we have is a few dips correlated to wallet announcements/introductions and plateaus.

Some of what appear to be significant declines were associated with purges of bots and ass-milkers and are therefore not really indicative of a decline in SN.
That said, there has been a noticeable slowdown in real engagement. I mostly attribute that to a small number of formerly prominent stackers cutting back dramatically.

we have a few large development things going on atm, but once they're over reducing the product complexity is what I'll be primarily focused on.

Perhaps it is overly complex, I'm receptive to the idea, sure. But it does in some sense point back to a frustration I get with ux guys insisting that their users are stupid and must be placated. It feels good to earn rewards from a relatively complex thing.

Yes, we can expect people to have a higher tolerance for complexity given they’re sometimes rewarded. But, it’s safe to assume that people don’t want complexity where it doesn’t serve a purpose.

how do you know that the issue is product complexity?
That being said, it's been a while since I've had the new user experience. Maybe I should try it out and see if I have any feedback.

i don't know for sure that that's the issue. for good or bad, i believe i have pretty good intuition about product complexity, so I am confident the product is too complex. Whether that is affecting growth or not is not something i know but it would turn me off as a new stacker.
