Great work, Unchained! Kudos for “building in the open.”
Luke 9:24 - MSG
“Self-help is no help at all. Self-sacrifice is the way, my way, to finding yourself, your true self.”
Thank you so much for your insight here - another reminder to live by example and cultivate habits that we want to see in our children.
Some initial thoughts of my own:
-I currently save in bitcoin exclusively, but spend the fiat from my paycheck to pay bills and leave a little cushion for other fiat expenses. This avoids the tax burden of buying and selling bitcoin. This also requires one to live within his means, avoiding spending more than he earns to avoid selling sats.
Unless tax reporting requirements change, I think this is the lowest friction, highest reward strategy.
I really like the idea of Fold’s latest features, but the tax man always cometh…
This is like saying “why would language matter if you’re using logic and reasoning.” Just as an English-speaking person will likely be more effective with English-speaking people, a Christian will likely be more effective with Christians. Culture, worldview, jargon, language and belief systems all matter.
“In order for a war to be just, three things are necessary. First, the authority of the sovereign... Secondly, a just cause... Thirdly... a rightful intention.”
-Thomas Aquinas
Many have painted World War II as a “just war,” but it may be more helpful to judge individual campaigns rather than the war as a whole. There are some times when a Christian ought to fight.
Can you think of any other examples? Perhaps in our daily lives instead of wars?
Strike, River, and Unchained seem to have branding that matches the Bitcoin ethos well. It is interesting to see how bitcoin-only companies align with and differ from non-bitcoin company’s marketing strategies.
