What makes bitcoin valuable?

Many people, including myself, would’ve once said that bitcoin’s scarcity (21M fixed supply) makes it valuable.

It turns out that this common belief is false.

Scarcity does not equal value.

Instead, bitcoin’s value comes from its incorruptible ledger. It is a closed, thermodynamically sound system.
