I’d save at a stable moment—maybe lying on a rooftop at sunset, no noise, just birds and breeze. Why? Because that’s my anchor, the “Restore Point.” All madness begins with sanity, and I’d want to bookmark peace before I start playing dice with destiny.

Then, I’d go straight into high-risk, high-reward scenarios:

Rob a bank? Sure.

Test my charisma by bluffing a Nobel laureate? Why not.

Jump off a plane with no parachute just to feel it? Yup.
Save. Try. Die. Load. Iterate. I’d be the most immortal idiot on Earth—but with each death, I gain data. And that data is leverage.

Second Layer: Mastery
Once the thrill is gone—and it will be, because hedonism collapses under its own weight—I’d pivot to pure optimization.
Milgram’s obedience experiment? I’d reverse it—try to psychologically free people from blind obedience, over and over, until I learn what actually breaks the cycle.

I’d start influencing people, not manipulatively but structurally. Like B.F. Skinner meets Marcus Aurelius. I’d master dark triad traits only to reject them consciously. Live like a villain, die, reload, and live better.

But here’s the rub—choice becomes meaningless without consequence.
If I can undo anything, why care? So I’d have to manufacture stakes. Maybe set a personal rule: only load three times per day. Or never load a death, only embarrassments.
In time, I might use it to write the perfect book, the perfect speech, or the perfect revolution. Every sentence can be tested across hundreds of scenarios. Truth becomes algorithmically refined.

Eventually, the only true challenge left... is meaning.
You can outplay death, but not boredom. You can dodge bullets, but not nihilism.
So in the end, I’d probably use it to make others’ lives better—not because it’s noble, but because that’s the only final boss worth fighting when you’ve already won the game.

This question reminds me of the Stephen King Novel 11/22/63. I'd worry about the impact that would have on others around me, and as well as my own ego. From others perspective it might get quite frustrating seeing someone win at absolutely everything. I'll probably get over confident with taking huge risks, which might cause tension with my loved ones. If I could do it only once though, it would be a day before a major lottery draw, win it, live it and if that doesn't work out - I'll have a save point to return to.

Well since I’m given a second chance at life, I would purposely do something to change my trajectory. Right now, I will transit to a primary school this July so that I can streamline my child caregiving responsibilities. If I were given the power to load my life, I would insist upon moving to a different country and starting life anew. Let’s see how my wife would respond

I would probably save every 5 seconds like I do when I play rpgs. My finger will instinctively reach for the F5 button.

And then, I'll load every time something doesn't go my way, even just a few seconds back.

Oh, and of course you mustn't forget to keep multiple save files and a hard-save with meaningful filename right before and right after something significant happening

At first, I immediately thought about how to make easy money. Then about reliving pleasant moments — a good weekend party, a trip, tasting an amazing dish. Later, I thought about illegal stuff, but since I could still die, better not take the risk.

The good thing is that I can relive those enjoyable moments while also making money from stocks and betting. All while knowing I could save and overwrite the previous save at any time, of course.

i wish to see what's inside and under the old-world buildings that are off-limits, so that i cud help out My Lunch Break in his investigations. that's a lower hanging fruit than going directly into the government research facilities, where all the old-world technology is being studied.

i might have to steal an armored vehicle first in order to do that or just start walking my dog while looking at my mobile device... one of the greatest plausible deniabilities - "my dog led me here."

I think you can already do this. Anytime you take a long break completely check out for a week or two. Gives you fresh perspectives and vigor. Also long walks I heard do this too.

Probably just financial gamesmanship, until I had enough for my family's financial freedom.

Then, I would just use it for precautions. Save every morning, just in case some sort of tragedy occurs.

Is there any restriction on how you load your last saved spot?
