This was Winston Churchill's favorite dog :)

reply

Yep, and he looked like one too.

Yes, he was often portrayed as a Bulldog. "Like a dog, like its master," goes the saying...in fact, he resembled the Prime Minister more not only because of his appearance, but also because of his character.

Very true

They look chubby but they are so adorable.

reply

They have about as chill a personality as a dog can have. Mine liked almost everyone. One time, though, a worker showed up at the house that she definitely did not like. The transformation was shocking.

reply

I love the smaller breeds that pack the punch of a large dog.

reply

Your favorite breed finally makes an appearance!

reply

Well, this is the breed that made me fall for bull type dogs. However, their health issues are heartbreaking, and I wouldn't get another one. Over the past 20 years there have been many experimental breeds created to improve the health of these dogs. They have various names like Victorian Bulldog, American Bully, etc.

reply

Are you thinking of getting one of these new breeds? Pugs also seem to have a lot of health problems.

reply

No. My go to breeds right now are these guys:

The white one is an American Bulldog. The black one is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

You have shown pictures of these. They are beautiful dogs! :)

reply

They're good dogs.

reply

This one is cool. Especially when the owners are strangely similar looking to them. But yeah not a healthy dog, expect some vet bills

reply

I always thought these dogs were so ugly. Today this post confirms my thoughts

reply

Yeah. Some people love the look. Some don't. I do, but I don't love the short lifespan.

Such a sweetheart of a dog, another breed I like very much @Siggy47
