Today's Question

What is your first aid for cold or cough or for both? What is your first aid for cold or cough or for both?

Commitments (You're accountable)

  • @Kontext - Watch out "his Daily Pushup Tally" in the comments. (Finished his fast after 64 hours!)
  • @denlillaapan - Publishes weekly "Lazybones" and PROVES his hard Gym sessions with pics.
  • @Coinsreporter - Remains hugely under par on his weekly challenge. (Already abandoned it!)
  • @Undisciplined - Now enjoying some break time after having dry fast Feburary. (Walking but no motivation without Workit!)
  • @cryotosensei - posts his daily steps with proof. (Had 17000+ steps yesterday!)
  • @realBitcoinDog - The Daily Abs, however real but surely going downhill.
  • @Aardvark - Watch out in the comments for his prolific workout plan. *(He's an AARDVARK!)
  • @LibertasBR - He's on a weight loss mission. (already cut down 1.6 kg) Can he cut it down this week as well?
  • @TheMorningStar - Has increased his pushups to 50 from 30 per day. What else?
  • @Public_N_M_E - Still nursing a rib injury. But provided first indication of recovery. Had hit the mountains and taking it week by week.
  • @Beeteesea - 97kg for you must be 6 feet at least, right? We keep waiting!
  • @Butterfinger - Hikes on a bike!
  • @suraz - Anything specific (to drink) for health in the mountains? (Still waiting your advice.)

As for my commitment, I've decreased my screen to > 6 hours on an average.

Now jump in the comments and let your fingers workout.

And as always...
Stay Happy and Healthy.

When I have a cold or cough, I basically just rest and drink hot tea with honey and orange juice all day.

Try sunlight and fresh air, that has worked for centuries and is backed by science.

reply

Good point. Depending on the weather, I try to get outside, or at least open the windows.

reply

Yeah just listened to an Andrew Huberman podcast on Fountain on how to prevent and minimize winter sickness

reply

I do the same.

Yeah, vitamin C and just the fluid intake. It definitely seems to work.

I'd imagine any citrus will be similar.

Another thing is to eat spicier foods with lots of garlic and onions.

Day 507 of 100+ pushups per day; day 406 of 120+ pushups per day, sets breakdown:
3x42 normal/narrow; Total: 126
Cold or a cough? Vitamin C, ginger honey lemon tea.
But I think the best prevention/medicine is exercise. At least for me, haven't had any serious bouts of illness since exercising daily.

We remain strong and committed to our goals. Still waiting for the new scale, but the diet is on track.

In my country, we don’t have this plant. To boost immunity, we usually drink a lot of orange juice, and when we already have symptoms like cough and congestion, I go for an onion tea with melagrião.

“Everyone else, holding strong?”

Yes, it’s my mother’s recipe. Use only the onion peels to make it. It works as an expectorant.

Outside minimum 5k everyday since Covid started. Proof of work continues, running with a buddy today.

I was mostly able to read that. Apparently Duolingo isn't worthless.

“I realized too late that I wrote it in my native language. Fixed it lol.”

reply

I had fun reading it. I haven't practiced my Portuguese in a long time.

“I’m happy to help.”
