Thank you. I'll stick to Green Wallet and Electrum. I just thought to ask because Proton is trusted by everyone. I don’t know why they chose to link an email account with it they could have just kept it as a wallet. I only tried it out of curiosity.

Just because some people are using it for garbage /spam emails replacing gmail it doesn't mean it is "trusted". NOTHING is trusted on internet if you do not have 100% control of it. Run your own self hosted email server with your own domain and you really do not need any proton shit.
As a throw away email account is OK, but not for more....

By trust, I mean it is open source. I wouldn’t say it’s shit, though. Not everyone is tech savvy enough or can host their own domain. It's definitely still a lot better alternative than Gmail.
