To me, LeBron hitting that record actually shows how incredibly good Jordan is (not taking anything away from LeBron, he is still incredible). Jordan did it with 450 fewer games played. Assuming they play all 82 games, that's still almost 5 and a half seasons more that LeBron needed to tie Jordan's record. Also factoring in the ease of scoring and type of defense being played / allowed for the two different eras... Jordan was really one of a kind.
Do you think we will ever see another shooter like Steph again?
I won't say never, and with the way the young guys are growing up shooting 3's, I think it's more likely than not that we will have even more good shooters going forward. Also, the danger of Steph does not only lie in his shooting; he can drive, he can pass, he has a great handle, he can definitely shoot, and his off ball movement is insane! I would say Steph is more dangerous off ball than with the ball. So I think there definitely will be pure shooters that shoot as well or even better than Steph, but someone with a full package like Steph will probably not appear for quite some time.
I don't think we'll see another Steph, but more for the whole set of reasons you listed. I'd wager that we'll see as good of a pure shooter in the next generation of players.

What's going on with Jimmy Buckets?
reply
He wants out and he's going to make things unpleasant until he gets his way.

So you are saying there is a chance he is coming to the Raptors. Thank you for your honest, unbiased and completely rational perspective.

Ugh. Cowboy credits again. I thought this was fixed. Haha

Don't you spend them down almost immediately?

Now this time I got sats and somehow zapped your last comment cowboy credits. What is going on around here? It really is the wild west. Haha

He said he'd play anywhere, so that presumably includes Toronto. That he hasn't been traded must mean Houston isn't interested, so I don't know which landing spot makes sense.
reply
Houston needs a scorer. They should trade for him.

I'd like to see it, but maybe they have their sights set on someone else.

Jimmy's contract has 1 year left and is coming up for an extension. He wants a contract extension and get paid the top bucks, but Pat Riley probably thinks Jimmy is past his prime and isn't worth the top bucks. The fact that his contract haven't already been extended means Riley is ready to trade him. Jimmy probably also knows that, so he's I think he's just doing the "you didn't fire me, I quit" kind of thing.
