I'm very curious to know how many Spanish speakers there are in this community... The image shows us that around 572,000,000 👥 people around the world speak this language...
  • After English, what will be the second most used language on the planet?
  • Does anyone have any idea?
  • Could it be the Spanish language perhaps?
I went searching, I confess
Chinese Mandarin (1,120 million speakers) Hindi (637 million speakers) Spanish (538 million speakers) French (277 million speakers) Arabic (274 million speakers) Bengali (265 million speakers
Spanish in absolute numbers is not second, but it is certainly the second most spoken around the world. As I speak Portuguese I can understand something

I'm! I don't think there're many more, I have seen only a handful active. Like, literally I can count them with only one hand.

Maybe if you do a survey with the question
WHAT LANGUAGES DO YOU SPEAK NATURALLY? or something like that you can get a better idea.

Está es una gran idea mi amigo!

Es lo mismo para mí, creo que lo ideal es hablar en inglés si lo hace la mayoría, porque así entienden todos.
reply
Pienso lo mismo, principalmente porque usar la plataforma en inglés me ayuda a mejorar mi manejo del idioma. Pero es bueno usar mi lengua materna de vez en vez

Sin duda pero, para eso ya tenemos el día a día :P

I am a Spanish speaker and I try not to use the language corrector so much to learn the English language since it is used a lot here in S.N and also in Nostr and all the information published here interests me!! and I want to understand and read it to strengthen my knowledge!! There are already some words that are very familiar to me but I still have to learn🙃💪 I think that Spanish should not be the second language... because Asians are the majority in population density so I think it should be some language from Asia

The language issue is interesting. I am a Spanish speaker, so to use the platform I have had to use my basic English and a bit of a translator.
Of course, sometimes this brings confusion due to grammar and terms, it can also happen in the same language, but this phenomenon is more common between different languages.
I remember that in my first posts I used the term "Red Lightning" to refer to the "Lightning Network" and many asked me "why RED, it must be ORANGE", tremendous confusion and so on.
But well, we are understanding the Bitcoin language. Although the Spanish territory is archived.

Well, I want to confess that since I started publishing here on S.N, the translator always translates me to feminine 🤦🤦 every time I refer to myself in the first person. But what does it matter, that's how I make my posts😅

Ok perfecto👌

Parece que no somos tan pocos. El territorio en español está archivado. Así que por el momento nos toca seguir en inglés.

Yo hablo español y me toca usar traductor para comprender y poder leer toda la información que se encuentra en SN pero vale la pena siempre encuentro cosas buen aquí para aprender

Me pasa igual uso el traductor de F-droid. "Translate You" soy capaz de leer un 70% del texto aproximadamente en ingles. Pero en muchas ocaciones necesito el traductor para leer y obviamente para formular mi respuesta
