Why is that? I think it would allow you to do more. It doesn't stop your other abilities. It's additive to the human experience. I am living off grid, mining Bitcoin with the sun, and building all sorts of things while still maintaining psychic abilities.

Yes it does, in the most strict sense: time spent on this things, with the intent of achieving something, actively prevents you from actually achieving it, all the while there are actual ways to do everything you can think of. And that's the thing: anything you can think of achieving with any kind of supernatural powers is always achievable orders of magnitude in excess by non-supernatural means. Think about anything, and you will find it's always true.
Why would I prevent myself from attaining true power? I will be in Mars connected to the power of the mass population mind through Neuralink while psychics still try telepathy with forks.
