Howdy there, partner! Welcome on into the Stacker Saloon.
Saddle on up to a stool and spill the beans about your day, fire away with them questions, or let loose and give us the lowdown on your wild and woolly life. We're all ears, so don't hold back!
We're open round the clock, so mosey on in whenever you please!

Any good conversations when I was gone? Anything I should check out?
reply
A sizable portion of my conversation today was quite tedious.
reply
Tedious about what? Seems like you didnt post much today. Did that one person disappear or go invisible?
reply
It’s just someone who can’t accept that I don’t agree with them and won’t acknowledge that I’ve given my reasons.
Thankfully that kind of aggressive behavior is less common here than elsewhere online.
reply
Bellcurve?

Ha! Not this time. He and I were talking a little bit about college enrollment trends.

What was the disagreement about? He has his moments lol

It’s someone arguing that China’s central planning is going to make them wealthier than the West. For all I can tell, it’s just a CCP bot, so I should probably quit responding.
Is there a tool I can use to trace my own funds through multiple wallets so that I don't accidentally mix them? I run my own node on umbrel.

Random idea
New type of post: Series
  • Many stackers already have their own series that they post regularly
  • A series post type allows stackers to subscribe to a specific set of posts from someone, rather than every post
  • "Series" tab on the bio page for stackers to browse other users' collections, and where the owner can create/manage and add to it retroactively
Based idea or cringe idea?
reply
That's a great idea. I tend to be one of these series authors and it would be really nice to have a post type that automatically builds on previous editions.
reply
Thanks, and an option to save a template would be needed as well.
It end up serving a dual purpose, for people not interested in series, just saving templates for use between devices.

Should I trust a custodian to hold 14 satoshi's?
Or should I not involve myself with custodial relationships at all.
One of the main points of bitcoin is to move away from custodial relationships and 3rd party intermediaries.
Why should I be ok having 1 satoshi on a bitcoin solitare app. Especially since Autowithdraws via lightning addresses are a thing.
reply
Who you should trust is up to you. If you don't mind them rugging or shotgun KYCing you someday (assuming they haven't KYC'd you sneakily already - email/ip/name), then trusting them is fine.
reply
Why should I be ok having 1 satoshi on a bitcoin solitare app
because to withdraw 1 sat might cost 1 sat, that's why

Sometime I find myself hitting the more button so often to look for that magical blue square notification that appears on posts I've been reading/commenting, to check if there are new comments. I know there's the subscribe-to-post option, but all those posts that I do not subscribe to, and get new comments, get lost in the queue.
Wouldn't be nice to have a radar tab for logged users that shows all read or commented posts that have new comments?

Equity Law:

The word Equity originally means being fair and impartial, with the biblical meaning referring to justice, fairness and uprightness: God judges people with equity.
Equity law evolved over time alongside common law and is a legal system based on contract law, which is designed to obtain fairness and balance when other laws do not provide a solution.
This system of law was more about procedure and remedies than standardised rules. It allowed the individual to use their own documents and affirments, such as notices and affidavits, to uphold their law, either broken through contract or a violation of their rights.
However, over time this system of law was taken over by the Catholic Roman Church and includes the follow:
  1. Contract Law.
  2. The Law of Commerce.
  3. Trust Law.
  4. Ecclesiastical law.
It also exists in both Civil and Common Law.
Common law and Equity Law work side by side, Common Law deals with crimes and is based within custom and usage, whereas Equity law deals with contracts, and laws thereof.
