BUY IN: 10,000 sats zapped to @NFLsurvivor2024 by end of day Sept 2nd. Buy in will be open starting tomorrow. I will make a post specifically for the buy in. Reply to the post stating you want to buy in. This account will reply to your comment. Zap that reply 10k sats. Please don't zap the buy in post itself- that got very confusing last year with many buy ins coming in a short period of time. RULES: Each week every player still alive in the pool will review the week's games schedule and pick one team to win straight up (spread doesn't matter). If the team you selected that week loses, you are eliminated. If the team you selected wins, you move on to the next week. (Ties will be considered losses- your team must win to move on) You can only select a team one time. (i.e if you select the Chiefs in Week 1 you cannot use them again) If you are eliminated, there will be one opportunity per player to buy back into the pool (also 10,000 sats) up until week 10 (you can buy back in for a loss in week 9 or anytime before but not after). There will be no rebuys permitted after week 10. If eliminated and you wish to buy back in, you must submit your rebuy payment and pick in time for the upcoming week's selection deadline. Reminder a team cannot be selected more than once (if you lose with the Chiefs in week 1 and choose to rebuy, the chiefs are still off the board for you). Anytime after week 5 the last player to use the rebuy will be eligible for 20% of the final pot if they do not win the whole pool. This also comes into effect if one player reaches the rebuy deadline without using a rebuy. If multiples player are tied as last to use the rebuy or reach the rebuy deadline without using it the 20% payout is void and goes to the final pot. The lone survivor at the end of the pool wins either 80% or 100% of the pot depending on the outcome of the rebuy rule payout above. ADMIN and DEADLINES A list of games for the upcoming week's schedule, along with a list of remaining players, will be posted on Tuesdays (hopefully by 12pm est). Pick Submission Deadline will be as follows: a) Thursday 6pm est for players picking a team that is playing in the Thursday night game. b) Sunday 12am est for players picking teams from the Sunday slate of games. c) Saturday 12am est for players picking teams from the Saturday slate of games. (Saturday games only start in week 16 so may not be relevant) FYI there are games being played in Europe starting in Week 4. These games start at 9:30am est so please stick to the Sunday 12am est deadline to avoid Sunday morning chaos. FYI there are also a couple Friday games this year. Thanksgiving day games played on a Thursday afternoon and Christmas Day games played on a Wednesday afternoon. In the unlikely event the pool reaches these dates please ensure picks are in by 12am est the day of these games if you are picking teams playing in them. I will do my best to send reminders for players who have not gotten picks in and there is some flexibility with the deadlines provided picks are in before games begin but it would be incredibly helpful if everyone got their picks in by the deadlines. TIEBREAKERS If the final 2 or more players are eliminated on the same week and we are out of rebuys or past the rebuy cut off of Week 10, the winner will be decided by point differential from that week's games. Whichever player's team lost by the smallest margin will be deemed the winner. If we still have a tie after point differential (teams lost by the same amount or players selected the same losing team that week), we will go to a playoff between tied participants for the upcoming week of games. If that week ends in a tie (both win or both lose), we will go to the point differential tiebreaker again to determine a winner. If still tied we will go to another playoff week until we have a clear winner. In the unlikely event a game is cancelled and not rescheduled prior to the upcoming week's slate of games any players who selected teams in the cancelled game will be carried forward to the next week where they will need to pick 2 winners to move on. Unless carrying them forward causes them to win the pool, at which point they will need to pick 1 game to win and we will revert to tiebreaker rules if they lose that game. WINNER WINNER Once we have a clear winner, this Survivor Pool account will post an announcement on the Tuesday following the 'winning weekend', announcing the winner, and total prize pool they earned. The winner will respond and sats will be zapped to them (yes, this means a 10% fee will be taken off but it goes to rewards pool, and we cannot deposit over 100k sats into an account anymore).

@grayruby I think I found a loophole in the rules. What happens if I don't pick any team? lol
reply
Fuck around and find out.
Just kidding. I will make sure to add that to the rules next year. I am sure the other players will appreciate your donation.

The full rules will be posted tomorrow but the basic idea is 10k sats to buy in, winner takes all. Every week we pick one team to win. If they lose you are out and if they win you move on. Catch is you can only use a team once. There will be an option to buy back in once if you lose up until a certain point in the schedule. That will be explained in the rules release tomorrow.
Please check out my post tomorrow and then let me know if you want to participate.
Cheers, GR

Are you able to sticky post the rules and any pool related information to this accounts bio? Just for ease of finding stuff again?
