Another support package? Oh, they are finally seeing the war as unwinnable? 61 billion is still a lot....and we will have no return on our investment. That is all money we have flushed down the toilet.

China and Russia signed a pact to support each others claims upon Ukraine and Taiwan respectively, days before Putins invasion of Ukraine.
If Russia gains Ukraine it will be Chinas turn to seize Taiwan.
And does it end after that?
reply
I didnt even know they signed something like that. Even if Russia gets Ukraine, its getting an empty husk. Its going to take forever for them to establish control.
reply
Yes the pact was hardly reported in MSM...The New Yorker is the only outlet I have seen who covered it at the time in any depth. The growing alliance between Iran Russia and headed by China is not reported a lot. There's a lot of denial across the MSM and populace. Perhaps because USA cannot declare war on China without collapsing many of its largest corporations who are reliant upon the Chinese manufacturing base via the Trading with the Enemy Act?
reply
the intelligent policy of isolating Russia has really pushed the states together. the BRICS are gaining more and more momentum due to the West's stupid policies.
reply
Brics will collapse soon. If china cant hold their economy together, its just going to get worse. Russia will have a lot to rebuild after the war. Win or lose.

Oh believe me one thing: before this happens the Eurozone will be in big trouble
reply
The EU is already in trouble. We are just waiting for the dominos.

Can you name a single significant economy globally that can afford to cease trading with China without losing considerable economic advantage. Just one? I suggest you cannot. China has won the trade war. What follows is arguable. Nope you could not name a single one.
reply
Not won. But they're gaining relative strenght fast
reply
The pact was signed Before the invasion and subsequent sanctions. IMO the Chinese now believe they can assert their will and are testing the limits. With Russia and Iran as solid allies and many other nations including the BRICS as likely to support China it will be an interesting contest. It cannot be ruled out that the US/West comes under Chinese hegemony. Ukraine is but an opening gambit in what is likely to be a lengthy process.
reply
please don't fall for the propaganda of the neocons. Russia will never take over Ukraine and then control it. This is about the strategically important regions, which have a Russian cultural influence anyway, and the influence on the government in Kiev not to join NATO.
reply
They are just going to take what they want? Didnt that happen with the kremlin or something?
reply
It's stupid neocon propaganda. The russians aren't NATO
reply
You read the 'New Yorker' without laughing ? It's comedy
reply
Which of the facts in the article do you contest? The New Yorker appears to have been one of it not the only MSM outlets to have covered the pact between Russia and China which presaged the Ukraine invasion. You can mock my source but you cannot refute the facts in the article. BTW I know little about the New Yorker except that they covered this news event while others failed to, but challenge you to demonstrate why you ridicule it as a source when you cannot refute the content of the article? Do you simply shoot the messenger when confronted with inconvenient facts?
reply
anyone who seriously claims that Russia would want to attack other countries outside Ukraine has either lost their mind or is doing the business of the neocons and the British. this is not worthy of comment
reply
You are putting up strawmen rather than addressing the facts an issues I Have raised. Facts and issues you cannot refute. China and Russia signed a mutual support pact days before Putin invaded Ukraine The pact confirms mutual support for their claims toward Ukraine and Taiwan. If Ukraine falls, due to insufficient resistance from the 'west' then it is probable that Taiwan would be next.
reply
Think of what Merkel Macron told the MSM about the Minsk treaty
reply
Well, I guess with the Maidan coup they understood that UK/US were playing false
reply
Can you respond to the facts and issues raised in the New Yorker article? It seems not.
China and Russia have entered a pact to challenge the West and Russia goes first invading Ukraine. Pending the result of the Ukraine excursion, Taiwan is next.
Speculation~ Trump will hand Ukraine to his handler Putin. China subsequently attempt to take Taiwan, if successful the US has lost its global hegemony and China is at least on an equal if not superior footing to Uncle Sam.
reply
if you study European history a little, you will automatically come across the English motto: keep the Germans down and the Russians out. this has been the exact policy for several centuries
Would You please answer on the Maidan coup and the Minsk affair instead of referring to a magazine article which I oppose in any form?
