It'd be really interesting to see the Czech Republic, and Finland's firearm homicide rates also separated out by race. Both countries are very white, even in the main cities.
Based on the search results, the most common ethnic minorities in the Czech Republic are:
Moravians: They make up about 4.9% of the population (around 522,474 people)[2]. Moravians are considered a subgroup of Czechs but speak a distinct Moravian dialect[4].
Slovaks: They comprise approximately 1.4% of the population (about 149,140 people)[2]. Slovaks are closely related to Czechs but speak a distinct language[4].
Ukrainians: Less than 1% of the population (around 53,603 people)[2]. The 2021 census shows Ukrainians making up 1.1% of declared ethnicities[3].
Poles: Less than 1% of the population (about 39,269 people)[2].
Vietnamese: Less than 1% of the population (around 29,825 people)[2]. The 2021 census indicates Vietnamese make up 0.4% of declared ethnicities[3].
Other notable minorities include Germans, Russians, and Roma (Romani) people, though their exact numbers are smaller[1][2]. It's worth noting that a significant portion of the population (26% in the 2011 census) did not declare their ethnicity[2].
Finland is a relatively ethnically homogeneous country, with the vast majority of the population being ethnic Finns. Here are the key points about Finland's racial and ethnic demographics:
The immigrant population has been growing in recent years, but remains relatively small compared to other European countries[4].
As of 2017, about 7% of Finland's population had a "foreign background" (both parents born abroad)[4].
The largest immigrant groups come from the former Soviet Union, Estonia, Iraq, Somalia, and former Yugoslavia[4].
While Finland remains predominantly ethnically Finnish, increasing immigration is slowly diversifying the country's demographic makeup, particularly in urban areas like Helsinki[1][4].
Yes, those countries may in fact have white gun violence levels significantly less than the US, assuming minorities are responsible for as high a proportion of gun violence as in the US. Czech Republic and Finland are interesting because their white gun violence level may very well be higher than the US.
I hate charts like this so we just going to ignore the firearm deaths caused by Russia and Ukraine?
Charts like this perpetuate this narrative that blacks are violent and whites are not which isn’t true in the least bit. All races commit violence and commit murders.
Yeah probably by per capita. But blacks only take up like 13% of the USA population. In sheer numbers I almost certain more white women are in prison than black.
Equal? Nah my point is not about what’s equal and what’s not. Gun violence is an issue that plagues black communities for decades. What I push back on is that other races are not as violent when we have countless examples of whites, Asians, Latinos doing really violent stuff like the drug cartels in Mexico.
Nah I truly don’t understand what you are showing me. Am i supposed to think blacks are violent because you show a video of a black teen beating up a white teacher? What point are you trying to make. All I said was charts like the one you posted are fodder to say blacks are violent and other races aren’t and I just said it’s not true. Then you post a random video of violence like it’s supposed to prove something
Well charts are created by people and people don’t have 100% of the data/information to make proper analyses.
As far as the 100 meter sprint comment. Well we have the Olympics to determine the best athletes plus performance you can make general stereotypes when it comes to athletics. Either you do the task or your don’t. Sure you can try to link race to performance output but that undermines the athlete’s achievement like the white woman who smoked the black women in the 800m
Killing and violence which is a viewed as negative in most societies is different.
