For a long time I have felt the need to learn more about plants, how to grow and care for them. I feel that having plants in your home is a very positive thing and on the other hand I feel that we should also learn how to grow some edible plants, perhaps even vegetables, without having to be a farmer. I even think that over the years something that has been put to sleep is that part of being able to work the land. Nowadays, only if you are born near the countryside 🚜 you get that knowledge, on the other hand, if you are born in the city you probably don't know anything about working the land. Only in very special cases do you get city people who know and use knowledge of botany or gardening in their daily lives.
We continue with the personal challenge of "Posting a photo taken by me every day" until we reach the goal of 100, 1000. 💪🤠⚡🍊

Hi @k00b. James Lavish has agreed to do an AMA on SN. I am going to coordinate a date that works with him. Hope that works for you. Let me know if there is anything I need to do besides coordinating a date and time and ensuring he gets set up on SN.
reply
Wow! That's great news!
Great job @grayruby! This is going to be a big example for all of us. We now know how to take someone to SN!
reply
Oh awesome.
@benwehrman is going to start helping us out tomorrow. Maybe we can link James up with him?
reply
Send me your email Ben and I will copy you on my correspondence with James.
Do you want me to post meme Monday tomorrow or will Ben be taking that on?
reply
ben@stacker.news should work. Just set that up.
reply
Awesome. I will send James an email tonight and copy Ben.
reply
If you don't mind continuing to do that, let's have you do it at least for another week.
reply
If for any reason @benwehrman don't do it, I can do it.

“you lost your cowboy hat After 4 days, your hat was stolen by a mischievous prairie dog. You won't catch the dog, but you can always find another”
Seeing as I presumably have lost my hat here in this saloon like many before me, I just wonder when someone is going to close the door so wildlife can’t get in.
I’m bummed. Surely management has received many reports of these burrowing raiders pillaging their patrons. I need a cold one.
reply
Management sells the hats, so there's a bit of a moral hazard at work here.
A conspiracy theorist might even accuse them of training those prairie dogs.
reply
This is a plausible theory, do tread carefully!

The start of a busy week. My wife is gone from the homestead for 7 days. Division of labor- I care for the animals and fish, she does the gardening. Now I must water and pick vegetables too. Most people would see it as no big deal, but I'm lazy.

Hey, has anyone noticed that in the last few days SN seems to have a flood of new, quality, non bot accounts posting good stuff? It seems so sudden to me, but I'm not complaining.
reply
There are a lot of posts. You have to choose what topics to discuss now. Some even communicate back!
reply
Most do! That's the big difference. And very little AI canned content.
reply
How do you know its ai or not? Do you run it through a program? Im not that sophisticated yet.
reply
reply
I will give this one a try, too.
There are tools that help you detect AI-generated content. This is one of them: https://www.zerogpt.com/. Copy-paste the text there and it shows if its human written or AI-generated.
reply
Okay, I will keep this in mind.
I'm not great at spotting AI. Others here have a great sense, like @carlosfandango. I usually can tell with typos, grammar, and syntax, and also sometimes a general sense that it doesn't feel like human thought.
reply
I thought there was an easier way to figure it out. I am not so good at it, either. I guess I am going to have to up my game so I can figure it out quicker.
Yupp! I've noticed it and certainly some of them have come from this part of the world.

Civilian

Although the official narrative of the title “civilian” means a person not in the armed services, or a “non-combatant”, or “private citizen”, the true nature of this title dates back over 2000 years.
Before people were referred to as “civilians”, they were called “plebeians” within Ancient Roman society, who were a group of lower class commoners, under the rule and control of the upper class called Patricians.
These Patricians ruled over the Plebeians using a bureaucratic system of “law” which over time became Civil Procedure Code, or “law”, which is controlled today by the BAR association.
Therefore anyone within the jurisdiction of this society was under the authority of “civil law”, and became a “Civilian”.
reply
Excellent note... IMO in conclusion they only changed our terminology. We went from calling ourselves "plebeians" to now being called "civilians"

Incredible India (Day 5)

India in 14 Minutes (4k Video)

India's unity in diversity extends beyond its people, languages, religions, and customs to encompass its diverse geography. The Himalayas guard the north, separating India from Tibet and China. Ranges like the Karakoram, Vindhya, Satpura, and Aravali define various regions. Indo-Gangetic Plains contrast with the Thar Desert in the west. Plateaus such as Malwa, Deccan, and Chota Nagpur form the Central Highlands. Coastal areas and islands like Lakshadweep and Andaman signify India's peninsular identity.
