How does truflation collect and calculate its inflation data? How does it compare to traditional measures like the Consumer Price Index (CPI)? thanks!

But isn't it unbelievable what kind of stone-age instruments state institutions work with, when today everything is immediately available digitally?

This is so old school. And about the number of items we're counting, I'm not sure if it's the best way to go. I don't have any real proof, but by adding tons of items, we might be adding stuff that nobody buys and messing up the average. I don't know, I'm just thinking out loud. What do you think?
