Speaking with constitutional lawyer and former Federal Minister of Defense Rupert Scholz, he said: “Freedom of opinion enjoys such a high constitutional status that it cannot simply be undermined by an executive decision. A medium can only be banned if it represents a revolutionary position, i.e., calls for the overthrow of the existing order by force. But that would then have to lead to criminal proceedings.”

Ugh, I think that the EU in general is becoming aggressive in its policies because economic collapse is approaching. I think that as the inflationary and devaluation conditions get worse, the greater the attack on freedom of expression will be. For example, has anyone seen the Recent news from Spain? dystopian times are coming for Europe like "1984"

While I don't necessarily agree, it's important to point out that this magazine displays racist and anti-Semitic tendencies.

Racist tendencies and anti-Semitic tendencies are potentially two very different things. It's a scientific fact that many minorities are less intelligent on average (some groups significantly less). Equally, it's a scientific fact that Ashkenazi Jews are on average smarter than pretty much any other group of humans (just look at the absurd number of Nobel prizes that group wins). Nazi Germany wiped out Jews by the millions, an utterly despicable act targeting the best and brightest of German society, so they're very sensitive to anti-Semitism and have special laws criminalizing it in particular.
Depending on what is actually going on, the German government may be criminalizing the publication of scientific facts. We don't know, because the materials published have been censored.
Indeed, this very post may be considered illegal in Germany...

Agree partially. The Compact magazine was disgusting and will not be missed. BUT in a democracy with freedom of speech and freedom of press such opinions must be tolerated

Not, if such opinions are against the law.

Can you blame them? Any criticism of unfettered migration and the omnipresence of the Israel lobby will be characterized as racism and anti-semitism

No. That's why I said I don't agree, everyone has the right to freedom of expression. But everyone should know, including those targeted by their racist and anti-Semitic attitudes, that they are extremists and do not represent European values.

I think if you make such grave accusations, you should at least provide some evidence, don't you think so?

You can find them in practically all their magazines. Because it's so easy to find, I don't think it's necessary.

I am not trying to be annoying but I think it is necessary. You've made the claim, so it's on you, not on us, to bring the evidence.
I honestly would like to see. I used to read compact, but a very long time ago, and not regularly, so I'm genuinely interested.

Thanks 0x, for taking the time.
I look at it this way: Considering the magnitude of the failure of the German government on the immigration issue, it's hard for me to blame the actual victims.

The monthly magazine has a circulation of 40,000
Compact’s editor and CEO, Jürgen Elsässer, a former leftist who lurched to the right and now calls for the “toppling of the regime” in Germany, can appeal against the ban.
He called the raid an “attack on press freedom”, the daily Bild reported. “These are fascist measures by Nancy Faeser. Compact magazine’s funds are all being confiscated. I can no longer pay salaries,” he was quoted as saying.
The far-right AfD made strong gains in elections for the European parliament last month and is in the lead for polls in three east German states in September. Leading AfD officials in Thuringia and Brandenburg states, Stefan Möller and Hans-Christoph Berndt, strongly condemned the government’s Compact ban.

we are living in the European Union and above all in Germany in real time the decline of democratic principles. freedom of opinion, the right to opposition opinion, etc., everything is being trampled underfoot here! this is the failing socialism of the Europeans, which is now moving into the phase of active attack and is acting extremely aggressively

Hungary is indeed a problem for the Eurocrats. A single wolf is not a danger, but if two or three are added, as in the case of Slovakia or possibly almost France, then you have a pack of wolves that could directly attack the nucleus of decentralization.

It would be different if they announced they had caught them doing something such as taking money from Russia, organizing anti-Jewish rallies, or mobilizing people to commit crimes but from what I can see none of that is the case.
Giving them the slightest sliver of a doubt it is amazingly poor communication with the public over what the actual legal reasoning was. Instead the German Minister comes across and bragging and celebrating shutting down a rival.

#2) people will not revolt until they feel cornered
The more they lash out, the more we win.
