Join market is still going. Wasabi still works, just with new coordinators. There's also another coin join market which might be about ready for mainnet called joinstr.

Then there are wallets like BTCpay which have integrated payjoin. Other wallets like cake have integrated silent payments.

Don't forget good ol lightning, particularly unannounced channels.

Then all the ecash stuff and the p2p exchanges.

Still plenty of options to transact privately with bitcoin

enuts cashu wallet is what I am using, I don't transact large with it, only $25 here and there.

need to have funding to incentives people to make privacy tools.

there is no incentive to make public tools for such things.

the economy not doing well, and people are struggling.

many of them dont have the recourse to work on such things even if they wanted to do so.
