This month I have wrapped up market research, completed one-pager, and finished a financial model. Next week I'll be deploying the website and will begin building out a sales funnel for conversion tracking. Afterwards I will pursue investment intros.
So apple who has more cash then what to do with is laying off 100 contract recruiters. I’m sure they got a “ generous“ severance package but it just blows my mind how this is accepted behavior for a company that prints money. Like apple had enough money to retrain those people and provide value to the company AND the human!! They learn new skills and not faced with being out of a job and unproductive. This is one fair critique of Capitalism and after so many decades of this nonsense got younger people thinking socialism is the answer
Yup, same here. But I wasn't a routing node to begin with tho. Just thought to reduce the channels, make the base fee 0 and relative fee 10-50 ppm. What was your reason though? Bloated db?
Bitcoin has the largest hash rate
Good security? No, I'd say great
Proof of Stake won't work, don't fall for the bait
So take your asics out of the crate!!!
Messing around with React again while listening to Bitcoin Standard Podcast :) Today I'm trying out jsPDF (react-pdf was my first pick, but unfortunately it does not support react 18) to see if I'll be able to dynamically generate cards at Uselessshit - ideally I'd like to make it possible for people to create gitft cards, which they could hand to bitcoin newbies.
Well I am curious why you need something like a pdf generator. Couldn't you simple use print specific css and define your layout that way.. and have people print it (ctrl-p) ? Or is it that you want to just learn?
I sure want to learn but other that that I guess I don't have a strong reason why I decided to go with a pdf generator 😄 I might try both approaches
I decided to close about half the channels on my lightning node. No longer wanted to be a routing node - happy to explain why if anyone is interested. But that actually doubled my routing fees. Very interesting.
It really just came down to simplifying my life. I've been running the node for over a year now, and learnt a heap. But was constantly stressed about keeping the node online, balanced, fee structure, etc. Additionally my node kept crashing randomly and could never work out why.
Will keep my node online for mainly personal use. Perhaps one day I'll be back in a more professional sense. So far I've closed about half my channels.
When I come back I'll make sure I tick these requirements:
So, I was listening Matt Walker's podcast about sleep and how not sleep well decrease our cognitive skills and kill a healthy way of life. You can't un-hear it and the moment you finished these episodes, nothing will be the same. My favorite one is the one that talks about the nap.
Little spoiler: yes, taking naps is good but not for all people. Take naps for some people is harmful. Please, just listen, there are short episodes (~10 min) and each one is a masterpiece.
