Hey All - As Father's Day approaches I think about this one. I am curious who has successfully educated your parents on Bitcoin (if still alive). As we know, powdered butt syndrome is a real thing and as people get older they can't take as many risks with their money - or may not take the words of their children seriously.

I was able to get my dad to learn about Bitcoin and buy some, and he likes it - but the volatility of it shakes him. I'm glad he has adopted it, and I think part of the reason is because I am into it. Have you had any success educating your parents on Bitcoin?

So I would say I was the first to take the Orange Pill in my family, but my mom followed suit right after. I would say we think alike in many ways and we share an awesome relationship where we share ideas with each other constantly. Thus, I didn't even have to put much effort into Orange Pilling her to be honest, just explained to her my conviction and she was in, even dabbled in a bit of trading shit coins early on lol. My dad is also an interesting case, in that he doesn't care all too much for money. I've never seen him stress over financial things. Therefore, he's never been against Bitcoin but he also doesn't understand the grand significance of it. However, lately I've been paying my rent to him in bitcoin and the volatility of it seems to entertain him greatly so maybe when it hits $100k he'll ask me to teach him about it.

I was helping my mum to buy some Bitcoin - she simply asked what to do with some money, then I said Bitcoin.

I wouldn't say I really pilled her tho, she sees it more like an investment.

That would be super cool. His insight would be nice from someone who was in a formal line of thought regarding the traditional financial system and macro perspective. I'm trying to get my fiance in it, but she is more of a social one than one to read blogs lol

My parents are so incompetent with technology that I would not want them to attempt Bitcoin. My dad's more or less on board in spirit, to the extent that he understands it.

See these are who the ETFs or those who keep it on exchanges are for lol. I wouldn't want my dad to attempt sending to cold storage, he would send it to a shitcoin address or something.

My brother and I were able to get my mom to become a Bitcoiner. My father is terrible at investing and also chose to never buy any no matter how much I tell him about it.

For people that will never invest, they literally need to be able to go to their favorite restaurant and buy something with it. I think for many it is too distant for them.

Well, I have achieved it with my mother, and I am proud of it, she was also receptive and learned quickly, although logically she does not know the technical aspects but the implications of Bitcoin, I also achieved it with my younger brother.

It is crazy, some of the most tech-savvy people I know don't like it, hate it or are disgusted with it. It makes no sense to me, but these people often are $400K a year software engineers at google lol.

My mom knows about 'Bitcoin' a bit. When I don't listen to her for I'm busy in my phone or on system, she comes and slowly asks "Bitcoin isn't going anywhere. You should listen to me first." Whenever she says these words, my belief in Bitcoin gets stronger and stronger. My Mom's my Godess, she can't be wrong.

My mom hold star me SATs thanks to me and my brother. Now, she is willing to hodl for one more cicle and then use this money to enjoy her life.

Sadly, my dad doesn't has understood how money and inflation works...he has never invested in his life, he only has money in his saving account and says he's too old to learn or try something new... P.s.: they are divorce!
