I posted up a few polls, please vote in first order before voting the next. Each post is a different scenario. part one part two
Most of you were are very humble, I appreciate that. But some were very rude. I'm glad you're angry, but you should not direct your angry towards me.
Let's focus: 20% voted they would forget their seed phrase until forced by guns. 51% vote to be a criminal, you don't even care at this point if you get caught at this point. 22% vote to peaceful protest, though I think this is a good option, but with the politicians actions it'll be a matter of time before congress makes a bill to make it hostile.
Start thinking up a plan when tyranny does come to fruition. (From my POV, BTC has been on a soft ban since Tornado Cash — you don't have to agree) Bills are passing like no tomorrow. One person suggested fleeing the country as an option, I agree, I shall put that in.
frostdragon said this beautifully in a post. “All that to say, Bitcoin vs US Military isn’t inevitable, but it’s almost certainly the worst option for the government."
Morpheus would have said something of this nature, "All those that are involved in government's businesses, service, community, and serving in the armed forces. These are the hands, legs, eyes, and bodies are the enemy."
I think it's impossible to save everyone because too many believe in the system. You guys are my favorite because you've taken the orange pill. Though I still like XMR, doesn't mean you have to. That's just an option. Hold on to your Cowboy hats!
Building on top of part two
This is the scenario, and the last opportunity before you get caught. Next scenario, you will be caught in part 4.
Someone very dear to you has been caught and are sitting in a detention center, lots of armed mercenaries to make sure they stay in line. Because no one would be cruel enough to take this position unless they were paid handsomely by a private entity. (They're not subject to government oversight) Their allowed visitors, so you decided to go and visit. You see them, they're beaten up but are determined to keep their BTC however aren't likely to leave the jail anytime soon. A bestie gives you the heads-up, If they give up 2 people they'll let them leave & pay up whatever in their BTC wallet they'll let them go. You're looking at your friend, you can see he's at his limit. You're sad and upset leaving them there after the allotted time.
These are the options:
Move to Monero? Private money by default12.9%
Be a criminal & same as forgetting seed25.8%
Peaceful Protest/Preach your rights12.9%
Flee the country and become a refugee48.4%
Sell Bitcoin0.0%

Why to put only Monero in the poll? You can put all others as well. But remember nothing is as worthy as Bitcoin, nor was. So, choose wisely. Bitcoin is getting bigger and better everyday. These attacks, imo, will only help Bitcoin progress ahead. Nothing new, it's been the story so far.
reply
Which are all the others? Very few offer privacy by default in a fair launch package. (hint: Monero isn't one of them)
reply
I mean, I don't see Monero and any other the option for Bitcoin. Do you favour Monero for the propaganda crap of privacy that it upholds?
reply
I'm not favouring Monero, but at least it tackles the L1 privacy problem.
reply
I can change it to altcoins, would this satisfy you?
reply
What are these options this time? How does moving to Monero have anything to do with the person you know being beaten? What happened to the offer to trade prisoners?
Its like I said last time, this will result in violent gangs and why make new ones? Seeing the opportunity to recruit new meat bags, the current gangs would probably be offering "protection" in exchange for extortion or service or something. Your friend who's in prison will probably join one of these gangs before their chances of survival without doing that aren't great. Gangs know how to move money and product in and out of the prison system (or so I hear). The whole country is gonna look like El Salvador before they adopted Bitcoin lol.
Anyway, I pick flee the country because fuck all of that shit.
reply
Appreciate the consistency of the poll options, however in this scenario I guess that Monero would be kind of worthless anyways.

If you can't spend your non KYC BTC on various platforms how is it different from XMR? at this point non-kyc BTC is illegal, you can take it with you whenever you please still on the blackmarket

I can see how you think this way, XMR isn't for the faint of heart. I consider it as potential money I may need to buy lifesaving drugs in the event gov't will deem illegal to buy. Also, XMR has always been ready for the possibility of delisting and heavy regulations, everyone freaking out over samurai wallet was no surprise to XMR fans.
USA has been on the banned list already for a while-Iran, Syria, China etc. The team behind XMR is highly intelligent, they've built privacy at the protocol level. Whereas LN is on the APP level. You don't have to agree with my ways, I don't push mine on to you. But if you need life-saving drugs, and they're illegal, you honestly think they'll take your KYC bitcoin? And if do they accept it, they'll demand on-chain -not on LN.

there's other options - be a non resident alien to the US, problem solved. but yeah.. people are rather shitcoiners, i guess, lol. protesting means I accept it, but I don't like it
reply
To be an alien, you need another citizenship for documentation.

you mean something like Texan national/citizen? who would want full protection of the republic constitution.. you can even make your own nation if you want
reply
you'll lead this I presume? Will it have guns to steer away the military tanks, or a defense missile launcher to defend those within your new border? Is this your proposal? or am I interpreting it wrong?

yeah, the point missed you. why not a friendly nation with healthy diplomatic relations
reply
If it's Bitcoin-friendly, it won't have healthy diplomatic relations with the USSA.

why not? heard of The Principality of Pontinha? They first adopted BTC, in 2015, and no American gives a fly
reply
It's smaller than my backyard. The moment they start doing anything of significance they'll be nuked.
