Here are a few old photos of EDCs and desk riders. Some are new, some are old. My fav writing pen is the old classic Parker 51. Pilot, from Japan is also excellent.
Enjoy!

I recognize the TWSBI, pelican, pilot and parker. What is that one in the middle? I like your collection of blue ink. I am partial to mont blanc royal blue.

Man, don't get me started on inks! 🤣🤣🤣

That akkerman ink bottle, is that the one with the marble that stops the ink from going down?

Seems like you are a big fan of the iroshizuku inks! I think they have beautiful inks, too.

Fantastic inks

The gold one? The inexpensive Pilot Metropolitan.

How do you like the TWSBI? I felt like it wrote too wet. What is the red one? Sailor or pilot?
reply
Platinum Century #3776 Bourgogne.
TWSBI needs to be wet to make up for the scratchy.

Their nib is not as smooth as others. I really like pilot nibs. Bach also made a bunch of good nibs. The vintage nibs are best, though. I dont know what it is, maybe the metal composite is better, but they write a lot smoother and are more flexible.

Oh, yes. There used to be a guy in New Hampshire that fixed, ground and smoothed nibs. I think he retired. Richard Bender. His wife wrote the most awesome notes on vintage post cards.

It is a dying trade. I know there are some guys who grind nibs at the pen shows.

Dude, we don't teach cursive. Today's kids can't read the fucking Constitution or Magna Carta!
Yeah, that is the connection now.
