One can open a 0.01BTC channel but this is not a very efficient way of using LN. For dollar cost averaging it is just better to use a custodian wallet like <stacker.news> but with increasing adoption and recognition of Bitcoin such havens as SN may be soon clamped down on heavily and / or regulated out of existence. BTC is great for spending. not so much for receiving without a custodian.
