Very short-lived indeed. Was hoping to use it as there is problem with routing from my node to ff.io

I was recently disappointed by Monero's blockchain. It kept hanging at a certain point, and it has also waxed large.

Monero maybe a shitcoin but at least it is not a scamcoin like ETH, ADA and what not... And it is a more secure coin than USDT, though not so stable. One has to save in something until they get their 0.16 BTC for opening their first lightning channel.

You dont have to open a 16M LN channel. You can open a 100k channel if you like. Maybe 1M is a better idea, but anyway.

One can open a 0.01BTC channel but this is not a very efficient way of using LN. For dollar cost averaging it is just better to use a custodian wallet like <stacker.news> but with increasing adoption and recognition of Bitcoin such havens as SN may be soon clamped down on heavily and / or regulated out of existence.
BTC is great for spending. not so much for receiving without a custodian.
