Of course, not everyone on HN is happy with that.
What is happening here? This link is to stacker.news, a HN-like website. It's for a story that is another active top story already on HN. Are folks just commenting on the headline without even clicking the link?
Which, I would agree. For example, nobody wants to see a post here on SN that is just a link to a post on HN, which itself is a link to an underlying article somewhere else.

Yeah, even if it did drive a ton of traffic, it's not really fair to HN to get links to links. Especially when we have less discussion around it than they do.
