I'm not sure about the origin, but from what I read - Turkish coffee was brought from Yemen during the Ottoman time, then spread into Europe. @0xbitcoiner

Ah, I see what you mean. You're saying that the Greeks copied the way of making and drinking coffee, right?
reply
afaik the turks brought it to europe, the whole balkan peninsula drinks turkish coffee. don't know what's the matter with greeks, but i got once in a mini argument on sn over it. if you search for greek or turkish coffe, you get similar results

Greeks hate anything Turkish including Turkey šŸ‡¹šŸ‡·

I think no need to argue about the origins of certain things, especially many things are so mixed up in this part of the world. šŸ‘€ ( many "Turkish" things are actually the Turks learned form Persian or the East. )
why not get the best from everywhere and enjoy!

the best olive oil in the world comes from Istra region in Croatia, of course, small villages, old olive oil makers that don't compromise. for honey the region doesn't matter that much, it's more important how the beekeeper works. the turkish called it land of blood and honey because they tried for centuries to conquer it for it's natural resources but had a very hard time doing so
