As a competitive athlete, I'm always looking for ways and tools that will give me an edge and improve my performance. One of the more popular, easy, and quick tools is supplementation, which has become prevalent amongst the average population as well. At the moment, I only use one dietary supplement and one topical supplement. For dietary I have been taking fish oil for the past month or so to see how it effects my brain and body health. So far I do feel it has improved my overall brain health. I have more clarity, and my memory, retention, and focus seems to have gone up although this is purely subjective and anecdotal. On the topical side, I use Ancient Minerals - Magnesium Bath Flakes, which I bathe in a few times a week to get the benefits of additional magnesium on top of what I get from whole food sources. Bathing in magnesium does help my muscles relax and recover quicker from intense exercise, and it's an enjoyable way of replenishing magnesium as I like taking baths.
With all that being said, I still prefer to maintain my health without becoming overly dependent on supplementation. Previously I used to consume a good amount of protein powder, took magnesium supplements orally, tried creatine for a while, and even tried beef organ supplements, but for me personally what works is getting what I need to get through whole foods instead of pills. The main reason I decided on taking fish oil, however, is because I realized I was getting nowhere near as much omega 3s (EPA and DHA) that the body and brain require. So far, I feel it's something worth continuing, in addition to eating more quality fish.
What are your views and experiences with supplementations? Are you pro supplements or anti or somewhere in between? Any supplements that you feel have really helped improve your health? Would love to hear your opinions and perspectives!

The fish oil is going to be oxidized and do more harm than good.
Protein powder is fiat garbage soy/pea “protein” not animal protein.
Vitamin D is the only thing I take.
Eating the fish is probably better, if you can find it (most supermarket fish is either farm raised and soy fed or mis-labeled.)

I agree with your sentiment about protein powder. I prefer to just get protein from its natural source, mainly from animal products, and haven't used protein powder in a while.
In terms of fish oil, I believe as long as you get a quality brand and make sure to keep it stored within a cool environment (I keep mine in the fridge), you don't have to worry too much about it getting oxidized, although there's always the risk.
I agree with your fish input as well. I only eat smaller fish that are wild caught, to decrease the amount of potential mercury and plastic exposure. But again, difficult to be perfect.
What brand of vitamin D do you take? And how has it benefitted your health?

Whatever D3 my wife buys, not sure if there is any difference. Any suggestions?
I think the D has helped me keep from getting seasonal colds and flu. Though I just got a cold a 3 days ago, but I’m already over it. That’s the first time in a few years, where I used to get a cold every year, and usually lasted a week.
But I’ve only been carnivore for 2 years, so maybe that is helping too.

I personally haven't tried vitamin D supplementation so I wouldn't be able to give any suggestions...
I see! Yeah, similar for me, the total amount of colds or sicknesses I get has declined drastically over the years, and I have noticed I'm able to bounce back much quicker even if I do catch a cold or something else.
2 years is a substantial amount of time and commitment, congrats!
