I was hoping that Bitmex would continue pioneering BTC related products. Their BTCUSD perpetual contract was amazing. But they have now pivoted to shitcoins and also launching their own "BMEX" token which can be staked.
Imagine if they had continued with BTC pairs. For example BTCXAU BTCWTI (Oil). It would have been a much more interesting exchange.

Someone tried arguing with me about Bitcoin and how it will fail. I casually asked them:
"How much do you really know about Bitcoin, so that I do not repeat things you already know?"
They responded with "honestly, nothing."
I recommended them some reading (Layered Money by Nik Bhatia). I also concluded that if I took time to learn about Bitcoin in 2013 (when I first heard about it) - my life would have been wildly different.
Orange 💊 someone is not something any of us can force but we can at least have people admit that they have a lot of learning to do

Today I closed all remaining public channels on my public "routing" node.
It will be shut down soon and I will move to run ONLY private nodes.

A "private" LN node could be: Blixt, SBW, Breez, Electrum.
All these by default are using unannounced channels (private, not visible on LN explorers) and DO NOT route any other payments, other than mine.
Yes, I will still have a CLN node on a dedicated hardware (not fucking RPi) but also will use ONLY private channels, for private use. Those mobile LN nodes could also be connected with private channels, to this bigger one, in case is needed.

is not hate. Are cute little machines, but are NOT designed to be reliable machines for LN nodes (and in special for LND nodes).
For many other projects could be very good, but not for LN nodes.

Been looking around numbers across the globe and nothing looks good.
Serious pressure on housing market everywhere.
Housing bubble pop is usually how we enter a very serious recession. (Poor Japan spend so much effort to get back growth and inflation, only to lose it all to COVID, completely ruined their plan for Olympics)
China pre-crashed their housing market to prevent a big bubble with the 3 red tapes policy, but I doubt that's nearly enough since almost 30% of their GDP growth is on real estate.
Employment number is the only decent figure, but more and more firms are cutting staff hiring.

There is a good clip of Peter Lynch where he explains why there is ALWAYS something to be pessimistic about.
But the history of humanity shows that long term we can be optimistic.
