Howdy Stackers,

Another week of sports is in the book.

The NFL season remains as confusing as ever, with playoff probabilities all over the place. Nevertheless, I think we have a pretty straightforward cross-off this week (and probably next).

The 4th round of Emirates Cup group play will be in the books. Hopefully, we all survive it. In other NBA news, Lebron is back and the Pistons are awesome. Also, I'm in an extremely uphill battle with @gnilma this week.

We missed Blok'd Shots last week, so I'll find out if anything interesting happened in the world of professional ice hockey.

We've also neglected the MLB offseason, so let's catch up on those developments.

And, as always, whatever else you all want us to cover.

Basically, the actual correct result is a tie, as each conference won 7 games.

But when discussing my thought process for making my prediction, I apparently alerted the market maker to the fact that he had miscounted something, and he decided he would subtract 1 from NFC’s total. I assume he wanted it to be a handicap, but I have no clue why he did it.

So instead of winning, I lost, and the wrong selection of AFC/Yes won instead. NFC/No is correct either way, but I didn’t take any shares in that position

If anything, it should be a lesson for market makers to be explicit in how they will resolve a market, and to house all that on the market itself. Details like that should not live off-platform.

I still think I was shafted, but it’s a small amount of sats so I’m not pushing the issue. Though I will think twice before joining another of that maker’s markets in the future

We also have a rating mechanism for creators and as user you are free to provide it on market page after resolution. If you aren't satisfied you can rate the creator with less stars or report us right from the market page.

For sure. There's a lot to sort out between all the parties (users, creators, and Predyx) in terms of reliability and fairness.

One thing Predyx might need to do is require market creators, especially new ones, to put up a bond covering potential losses to users from their mistakes.
