100 sats \ 1 reply \ @028559d218 12h \ parent \ on: Bitcoin devs cheer block reconstruction stats, ignore security budget concerns bitcoin
At least I have the confidence to put my money where my mouth is, which is the entire point of the argument, and if you ask me the entire point of Bitcoin.
How many pro-knots people for better or worse come to SN and boost their own posts with their hard-earned sats? Probably not many.
How many posts have I? Several over various topics.
Which if you ask me is what Bitcoin is all about. Censorship-resistant money... a censorship-resistant database backed by energy with a hard-money focus.
After all what good is 'sitting on sats' with nowhere to spend them? Nowhere to use them? I would much rather take some sats and use them on Stacker News in the furtherance of what I believe... than sit on them and 'hope they go up'. I can do that with a stock and Bitcoin is so much better.
I think you underestimate the number who will be likely hurt... by such a fork. And I don't mean people running Bitcoin Core today.
I hate to imagine that certain people are so dishonest but that motivation is one I've considered.
Oh boy. This will be an interesting fork indeed.
Okay, fair enough. I'll assume that you truly care and that you just really misunderstand some concepts, for the time being (but ffs, please don't waste your time with clickbaiting youtubers)
So first you said that Core made the right choice, and that implies that you disagree with my premise that Core needs to be apolitical if it wants to be the reference client. Why? Mind you this isn't about knots or what you call "knots people"; I honestly don't perceive them as a threat. This is 100% regarding choices made on the bitcoin/bitcoin repo.
Second, you said that Knots will never accept a censorship resistant bitcoin. Could you elaborate? But please do it without repeating (?) nonsense principles that technically don't exist, like mempool domination.
