I live in Nigeria, and this has been my reality.
Sometimes in May last year, for the first time in my life, I bought some fifty thousand naira (₦50, 000) worth of bitcoin (about 2.24187 mBTC) and forgot about it (but didn't forget/lose my private keys). So, I decide to check it yesterday 27/09/2024. I made conversions to both dollars and naira. (It's now about ₦300, 000). Damn it! What more can I say? And, in fact, in Nigeria, it isn't inflation anymore, neither is it hyperinflation. In economics term, we don't even know what we are experiencing, but for sure it is absolute pain and suffering. So, yes bitcoin is a financial miracle for people like me living in developing, authoritarian countries. (Note: I didn't cash out my bitcoin savings, and I don't intend to. No form of money is superior than bitcoin. I was never a shitcoiner, and never will I ever be.)
Yea, sure. Diving deep into the bitcoin rabbit hole gave me the feel of being financially ahead and superior of the Nigerian government and central bankers. Before I encountered bitcoin, I used to be very depressed, not knowing where my life is headed. Now, I'm alive, and so grateful for life. Not that things are automatically easy for me in every way, but that bitcoin revived the dormant hope in me.
Thank you for sharing .
However, as AI capabilities evolve, the cat-and-mouse game between security experts and malicious actors is likely to continue, necessitating ongoing innovation in bot detection strategies.
So with this, how better are we now than before?
Yes, this is totally agreed.
And, it's such a shame that most North American citizens are so glued, and yet so disconnected from their own government. No wonder the U.S. is politcally divided. While their politicians and government agents are busy commiting atrocities abroad, Hollywood is aslo busy brainwashing the citizens.
This fiat game will continue as long as the very citizens are ok with stimulus packages. Fiat is a game, both the leaders and citizens enjoy playing. That's why governments' shenanigan is always on the news so that the citizens can complain and also suffer the pain but once the government dish out packages, the people forget their suffering, and the cycle continues.
It's all self-interest. And, I think it will be great to have these entities run the nuclear power plants. As long as they won't be in charge of our money, we permit them to monopolize the nuclear industry.

Nice work.
If lightning is important, do you think its capacity can be increased and improved? If yes, how?
Great article.
There's beginning to be a massive shift amongst Linux kernel maintainers and contributors towards Rust for the last 10 or so years. Rust is becoming popular over time; while most of the old guards are retiring with their C/C++, the new generation guards will take over with Rust proficiencies.
Governments all over the world, supply products that the market will never demand (e.g., CBDC), then use force to pressure citizens into adopting and using their undemanded products. Unfortunately, most citizens comply.
