watching this series I learned about Ramin Djawadi music.. i think my favorite is his Heart-Shaped Box (from nirvana)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LDS8SeO6hyg
i remember listening to this song in repeat mode for days back then..
couple days ago i was watching Rick Beato interviewing Brad Mehldau, at 30:00 Brad talks about how the opening guitar of Hey Joe remembers him of "another tune I like to play".. he plays couple notes but never names it..
my ears say it's this song, isn't it?
ChatGPT got it!
"It seems like the values are decreasing and getting closer to zero. Additionally, the values are following a certain pattern where each subsequent value is approximately one-third of the previous value.
This suggests an exponential decay pattern. Specifically, it seems the values are being generated by the function:
f(n)=1/(3ˆn)
where n represents the position in the sequence (starting from 0)."
wow i was sure 60s or 70s would win by far, but i see there's a lot of grunge kids like me around yeaaaah
from time to time i go back to Processing to play with artful code.. this Sunset Flock is from couple years ago..
yeah.. the topic is good, and the suggestions (shazam alike..) don't always solve these cases..
as a music hobbyist, sometimes i play the piano with pseudo-melodies that i'm sure i kind of heard it (earworms?), but i will never know the source or how much of it is original
btw how did @radentor found it, was it pure luck of knowing the song?
I think YES, it's important to shift the current mentality.
But I also think self-custody should start simple for newcomers:
- 12 words are enough
- generating the seed in a clean personal computer, with basic security connections, with well-known open-source verified software, it's enough (no need for hardwallets)
- writing it on paper, well hidden, with backup and no single point of failure is enough (metal plates are overrated)
newcomers are scared if they need to learn and go through all the best pratices of self-custody in the first day or even in the first year
focus should be on point 3:
"they dont understand how valuable bitcoin will be one day"
as long as they think of bitcoin as 'this other risky investment', they will never be interested in the other points..

i agree.. that comes back to the subjectivity of "value".. it will always be a balance between the 2 extremes.. even if this balance is closer to the "never sell" end, there will always be a price that's worth selling for some people
If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?
It depends on your definition of 'sound'.
"Yes" if sound is physical waves of molecules vibrating.
"No" if sound is the conscious perception of those waves.
like others have said, it's a tool that can be useful in some situations, like the first contact for no-coiners. You talk to someone in the bar, in 3 minutes he can install the app, log-in with his usual email address, check the ultra-simple UI and receive some sats. Boom! He "has" bitcoin!
my RPi4 8gb + 1 TB SSD is running smoothly since january, zero maintenance.
i followed Raspibolt, pretty clear instructions, even if you're not familiar with CLI environment.
