Another platform excluded was rocketr.net as it did not meet the research requirements, especially the KYC and privacy ones:
- An annual 1000 USD limit apply to no-KYC accounts (25k for kyc-verified accounts)
- Required ISP IP (no VPN use allow) during signup
Great work. Keep it simple, focus on Digital products and enable media upload! There's a huge gap on this #1047216
Another new POS from Argentina https://github.com/unllamas/lightning-pos
Forgot to add the call to action shortcuts for you all to starting this journey with the ~AGORA:
Yes, it could. The main differences are that it is self-hosted, has only on-chain capabilities, and does not allow for media hosting. I can’t really call it a product; it feels more like an experiment.
Media hosting is an underestimated feature. It lets products be auto-delivered instantly after successful payment. This provides customers with a great experience and boosts satisfaction more than other methods. For sellers, it offers relief since they can scale more easily, faster, at the cost of building customer relations.
Another platform excluded was autobuy.io. It didn’t meet the research requirements. They needed a Coinbase Commerce API for payments. Also, it does not offer media hosting. If you’re curious, you can check our demo store here: https://autobuy.io/@AG0RA
I was surprised too, especially since none of them focus solely on Bitcoin. They were the best choice because they offer media file hosting and Bitcoin payments. Lightning integration would have been ideal! I had to use $21 in the demo product because receiving a small amount, like $2.10, on-chain didn't make sense.
We've found some options for you. None of them are self-hostable, but they all offer self-custodial bitcoin payment integration. There’s no KYC and no subscription cost, so they’re worth considering. You can check them out here: #1047216.
Testing for now, we select one platform to be the reference for escrows in the future, or maybe offer different options, via nostr, lightning and onchain. We'll see what's possible!
Thakds fr your feedback and suggestions. I totally agree, privacy need to be preserved, but we can't (and we will not) enforce it. We don't care who you are or if stackers want to stay anonymous, the escrow service work independently and is not tied with SN anyway.
We are planning to use nostr group chat to facilitate conversations with all 3 parties (including us). Stackers can create a new npub for each trade if they wish
No way we can ask that to SN. For now we gonna provide the escrow service ourselves, it will be optional and available on request upon 1% fee prepayments.
We are already playing with the infrastructure we have these two working:
- Cowboy Escrow https://4g0r4.github.io/cowboy-escrow/
- AGORA.bin https://4g0r4.github.io/coinbin/
- Bitcoin Escrow https://4g0r4.github.io/bitescrow/
And these are on the making:
- BitEscrow https://github.com/4G0R4/escrow
- Scrow https://github.com/4G0R4/scrow
Correct, the code still good and a min cart amount of 210$ is required for a 21% discount to apply. As a trusted returning customer, we are happy to provide a different discount code for your next purchase without min cart req. Please contact me or @AG via nostr for more details.
ok, it start to make sense. I double-checked for how long it has been around (nearly 10y) before sharing it here. I assumed some cryptography expert would be interested.
After all, even if built with the best intention, this marketplace is selling bets... gambling by principle. And in fact, as you mention, a buyer will be never able to verify true ownership of the wallet.dat. Thus yes, this site could be selling stolen wallets.
