A reminder to those reading this FAQ and the respective comments:
KYC is fake and gay, with its sole existence being to make fiat offroading as inconvenient to those who know better than to continuously rely on it as humanely possible.
Fuck the government, fuck taxes and fuck fiat especially.
If you have no need for an actual phone number to call or text, Silent Link is your best friend.
Grasping at straws to maintain fiat dominance worldwide, as El Salvador shows its futility when put into competition with non-hyperinflated money.
To answer both you and @dollarparity, I want Bitcoin to get better irrespective of my opinions on my altcoin of choice and privacy coins; Lightning has clearly shown itself as only benefiting custodians who can afford to eat the cost of unintended force closures and endless channel liquidity, while individuals unless extraordinarily lucky usually get shafted.
Despite the concerns of others in regards to centralization and the potential for rugpulls, I'd much rather refer to Cashu wallets that does what Lightning does better to prospective self-custody newbies than any pure Lightning wallet simply due to there being less to think about.
In spite of that, I've also advocated for Lightning functionality (as much as can reasonably be implemented) to be a native part of Bitcoin Cash's base layer since it's already suitably made for it. To deny what Lightning does right would be to be technically and cognitively dissonant, but it sucks a lot more than it doesn't on a user level unfortunately if you'd rather utilize it self-custodially.
Whether it'll be appreciated here or not (doubt it), I gave my thoughts on Mutiny and Lightning overall while admonishing the active criminalization of privacy.
Also gave kudos to @supertestnet for his efforts to improve upon Monero and its privacy promises and advantages via his eXaMinR tool (#634963).
Don't forget the mobile app removing Random server support, thus making anonymous VPN usage completely fucking useless unless you go in and change the server every single time.
Proton has been on a disappointment streak as of late, and I can't for the life of me figure out why they've decided on dropping the ball so hard.
Trusting anyone in media (but mainstream media especially) is one of the dumbest things any person could do; whether intentionally or not, every personality or group of individuals are incentivized in some form to lie. It doesn't matter how minuscule the lie may be, if an advantageous position can be gained from having it be perceived as true by people who aren't aware of the falsehood, nine times out of ten the lie will be told.
If not a lie, bias will be the factor that creeps in either consciously or otherwise. Operating off a "trust no one, and trust nothing" mentality by default will serve you best, with news aggregation services being required for any "impartial" awareness of the world's happenings.
That's implying you have faith in any form of media, including "alternative" media, which I absolutely do not.
I'll state that there was no intent on my part to be maliciously deceptive or otherwise farm for interaction here; I was reacting to what I felt was a sudden and unannounced lock out in real time when I saw it.
This should have been communicated better or ahead of time, as I did read the email now sent out to users.

Was just about to make a Nostr post tagging you with this post linked, now I don't have to.
Unbelievably shitty of Bitwage to do after their announcement email surrounding the regressions made to their service after switching to their new banking partner, making it seem like the "freedom" country still had access.
