I will always say sats. No matter what. There are better things to worry about.
It was called democracy. It could be dying.
If you start that path of giving more vote power to someone then you could end up just wanting to skip the voting all together. People with very voting power would not want to participate because it would be irrelevant.
Scare some weak hands before the big rally to 300k?
We know there are quantum resistant crypto algorithms that bitcoin could use so for now it is not a worry but they just may have to say that for legal reasons.

Being extremely rich. Constant fear for safety and family members safety. Or not knowing if someone is talking to you nicely or want to be friends because they want some of your money or a favor.
Normally one just have to invest in the opposite side of whatever they say on TV. This is very important. So does it mean we now have to sell Bitcoin then? Argh... Noooooooo
I am recently thinking a lot about this decline too specially because I'm seeing it in my own family with rapid decline and it is very sad to see. They don't realize. They make the usual jokes about age and such but I'm sure they are not very aware of the extent of the problem. Even simple problems become huge. And it reminds me that while I still feel great I have only a small number of good years left and that is counting that I would not get any other illness.
Make the most of your youth. It goes fast later.
I was thinking of buying a new car but I may just fix my old one. I want a car without touch screens and without internet. I think I may be getting old but car companies are the worst. It is not just Toyota.
Markets are just dominated by AI machines that continuously move the price very effectively to whatever price their owners want according to their insider information from politicians and other influential sources.
Ok but it is harder than it was. I didn't need a course before. I did the DMARC and DKIM. At least I keep trying. Everyone else I know personally just use external services and in the same way, not self custodial wallets. It is a bit similar situation I guess.
I remember many years ago when it was so cool to build your own server and have your own mail system installed on your domain and use it to send and receive emails. Today it is so difficult. They have basically centralized email.
I remember also when it was so cool and easy to install your own bitcoin node and use it freely. 2025. Let's see in some years....
Just a thought. I still run my email servers, but it is a pain. I never know if a message is going to reach destination. Bitcoin node is still easy. but LN is more difficult for me.
It’s going to get even faster and faster. So much faster that we won't understand. Once we connect our brains to AI directly via neuronal links, it’s going to change everything forever. I was a very enthusiastic child about computers and technology growing up. But now? now I’m scared. Not everything has to be bad, but many things will be. Very easy accessibility to technologies that would have been science fiction in the past, and not all humans want to use technology for the good
“Clients are increasingly cautious about starting projects due to uncertainty over future trends in interest rates and building materials costs, as well as the potential for an economic slowdown,”
I can't blame them. Totally understandable. Uncertainty is the worst enemy for markets and the economy. And high interest rates on top of that without a clear path? Not helpful. Let’s see employment numbers tomorrow. Could be the final signal for a recession.
To integrate renewables is a challenge but not impossible. It is just more expensive. It needs more batteries regulation stations to act as buffer and give more stable energy into the grid. And also it can be used to store capacity for periods where there is no sun/wind. It will all be ok.
More and more it seems it is dual money, save btc, spend cash. Now that the rich embrace it and it is not just a weird thing by a few cyber anarchists, I know the future of Bitcoin is great.
I'm would not be affected by this, being off grid with solar panels. :D but I understand the challenge that using solar energy in a national grid.
This is what I think has happened:
Solar energy is less stable than other generation systems. Sometimes there is sun, sometimes not, therefore they must be injected into the grid in such a way that they synchronize with the existing frequency generated by more stable sources like nuclear or gas plants. The problem was that during the blackout, 80% of the electricity generated came from solar sources, while nuclear and gas plants were offline. It is possible that oscillations in frequency or voltage within the systems responsible for maintaining the base frequency triggered a cascading failure, causing all solar panels to disconnect simultaneously. I believe this happens to protect the equipments. So if 80% suddenly goes out, the other generation systems don't have time to react. And starting it all again from a blackout is not easy.
I think this situation will teach electrical engineers valuable lessons. To mitigate such risks, greater investment in advanced inverters and robust battery storage systems may be necessary to ensure solar energy can integrate more effectively with the grid. You cannot simply put some solar panels and connect them directly to the grid without significant battery systems. Maybe that's the problem. But who knows?
The government has yet to issue an official statement regarding the causes of that blackout. It is rather unfortunate that they are not even providing any information, let alone clarifying whether the situation could occur again today or tomorrow.
End of affordable anything. Welcome back to 1870. It is going to take many years and big recession to bring back all the production. Enjoy the taxes meanwhile. And don't forget to say thank you.
