As an electric sedan driver (Tesla Model 3), this is very interesting. As @grayruby mentioned, I too also assumed Americans simply preferred larger vehicles and that there was not enough appetite for compact cars like the Honda Fit – but your post makes a lot of sense. Coming from the UK I grew up with cars like the VW Golf, the Peugot 205 etc, so even a sedan is bigger than I'd typically like. Only very rarely do I wish I had an SUV or truck for packing more stuff – a long road trip for example. Regrdless, the whole landscape is going to change dramatically in the coming years as autonomy goes mainstream. Legacy auto have no answer to autonomy or manufacturing EVs profitably, and as such they will face a struggle to survive in the decade to come.

I think about the risks to the job market but also the benefits it will bring, many of which aren't even imagined yet. So I didn't vote in the poll.
Got it, thanks. While I have you, where do we configure auto-withdrawals? I can't find it and I need to make some changes...
I really haven't shot much recently – been busy on a zine and setting the stage for future projects – but this caught my eye. This was shot on iPhone but I'll reshoot it at some point with the X-S20. I like how the frame almost looks like it was hand-drawn.

I've always loved this cover, Snivilsation too. Great work by John Greenwood.
The funny thing is I'm working for this firewood company but have no need whatsoever for the product since our house is all-electric. No matches necessary.
I'm glad you appreciate it! We actually have to stack them neatly in the truck, since the customers order a specific amount of wood, and the amount they order is converted into rows in the truck. If we just threw it in as a big messy pile, they wouldn't get the amount they paid for.
Good luck with the house! What an amazing project.
Thanks C!
