Inevitability confirmed. I remember sharing this a couple of months ago. Given Fidji Simo’s track record at Meta in developing their monetisation strategy, this wasn't so much a rumour as a logical prediction based on executive synergy and OpenAI’s need to fund its computing ambitions.
The real question now is how quickly they can scale up ad revenue without compromising the 'magic' of the AI experience. That's the tightrope walk.
