It seems it would get rid of the bitcoin "not crypto" or "not blockchain" if we called bitcoin a timechain as Satoshi did - wouldn't this make it easier to differentiate?
why is the timechain name not used?
I call it timechain all the time. Is someone preventing you from doing so?

I really don't understand when people uses the words Blockchain Technology. Like, we need to embrace Blockchain technology, that company plans to use Blockchain technology to solve a problem, or we could vote digitally using Blockchain technology.
One of the main characteristics of the Blockchain is to be immutable and incorruptible. So far the only one is Bitcoin and it will be really hard for a company to create one for other purposes.
So if there is only one real Blockchain in the world, it doesn't need to be differinciating from non existing ones.

that's a great point - bitcoin is really the only "blockchain" that offers immutability that's real. grateful for the insights

I didn't get what is the problem with "blockchain"?

For better or worse, “blockchain” has become an industry, a brand. And the issue for bitcoiners is that they don’t want to be lumped in with all these other projects that are goofy, irresponsible, and disastrous.

And within several years there will be a zillion "timechain" shitcoins... The only way to protect from brand stealing is a registered trademark, but I'm afraid it's not applicable to Bitcoin.

так как это можно изменить. блоки по 9 минут или по 5 минут. если понадобиться то и до 1 секунды можно сделать. ведь инфляция уже не будет той силой с которой идёт борьба.
