The people and their choices matter even more. The strength of people forces politicians to make different deals and promise and lie in different ways. Elections are the tail. Not the dog. They are the thunder. Not the lightning. You don't have a Trump without a Obama and Biden. It takes people seeing how bad it is to get fed up. It's so much more than elections.

The return of the Strong Gods is happening. Right @SimpleStacker. It's fascinating to watch. We are watching the post WW2 concensus crumble. The methods of control are breaking down. The shift is real. I don't think it's great but it's not worse. Kinda feels inevitable.
